Eastmead - Took below from Mark's website re Blonde Snapper. Knew you were looking for news. [;)]
Talking of the Derby forgotten dog Blonde Snapper is now back in the kennel after returning from Ireland where he disastrously suffered an injury preparing for the Harolds Cross Puppy Derby back in September. Now given a clean bill of health he will be prepared also with the Derby in mind. Adageo last year's finalist from the kennel has had problems with what seemed an innocuous injury suffered in a sprint trial at Monmore but is now also on the road to recovery and he could again go well in next year's premier Classic. |

Rathangan trainer Dolores Ruth is a determined lady and she is launching a mighty challenge for this year’s William Hill English Derby at Wimbledon with a planned team of eight.
Currently she plans to run eight in the English classic and is determined to give them the very best opportunity. Next Thursday she will travel to England for two weeks with the eight contenders and will spend two weeks in which the dogs will have two trials each around Wimbledon and hopefully a race before she returns home. The team of eight is led by Town View Foods Champion Stakes winner Makeshift and he is backed up by the mighty Razldazls, Lord, Alice (late Cartiers Dazzle), George, Jayfkay, Barack and Joe in addition to Kingo. Dolores on her return will divide her runners between the Tote Gold Cup and the Easter Cup and it will then be full steam ahead to Wimbledon. The Ruth dogs have been showing excellent form with Barack and Joe winning impressively last Saturday while Jayfkay (18.55) and Makeshift (18.73) have gone very well in trials. |

Jayfkay win or lose is the worst value in the market surely, done nothing in his career so far to justify the price
|
|
By:
JFK does seem a little short now. However he was only 1/2 length off fastest time of year round Kilkenny, two 28.7 trials at Wimbledon as green pup - trainer seems very keen on his chances.
We will learn more tomorrow when he trials round Wimbledon again. |

Good evening English Derby AP players
![]() Had my first bet today: 2pts win 1pt place Bandicoot Tipoki with Paddies. As a new account; I qualified for a free bet so then had Loosen my Load in the Jewson at Cheltenham at 12s as well. I have to admit that I agree with Birchy on this one. 50/1 is a silly price about last year's winner. He showed he's still got what it takes when winning at the Don last week. Despite his age, he has only had 46 races and absolutely loves the Don. He has won 8 of his 13 races at the track and only finishd out of the first two once, when finding trouble in the 2009 quarter final. Blonde Snapper fans should remember that he set a TR of 28.26 in the first round last year. I usually enter the Derby with about 8 or 9 AP bets but have hung back this year. I will probably add about four or five to my portfolio before the racing starts if anything stands out or catches my eye. Good luck to you all, can't wait till May 12th. CT |
