15:25 Downpatrick - Dumbarton
He was a faller on his last run over hurdles but he has schooled well since then and he ran well when third on the sand at Laytown last time out. They've had a lot of rain at Downpatrick and I'd prefer if it had stayed away, but he's on good terms with himself and you'd have to be hopeful that he could be right in the mix in this company.
17:40 Downpatrick - Cosmic Wonder
He got a deserved reward for his consistency when winning at Perth last time out and the ground was very testing then so he should be okay under today's conditions. We're sending him over fences for the first time and he has schooled very well for us at home. He likes this track, having been placed in two bumpers and a hurdle here, and while he will improve for the...
14:25 Perth - Cosmic Wonder
He was a little disappointing at Kilbeggan last time out but I don't think he acted around the track and it's probably best to ignore that run. Prior to that had been a model of consistency, finishing placed in a number of similar contests. He's probably a little unfortunate not to have won one at this stage but he's fit and well, and should run his race today. Whether or not that will be enough I don't know but hopefully he'll go close.
15:25 Perth - Jamsie Hall
His run in the Galway Plate was a non-event as he whipped around at the start and gave away all chance. We ran him again a couple of days later but the going had become too testing and so we're travelling over here in search of better ground this afternoon. He's going back over...
15:35 Galway - Experimentalist
He is unlikely to run - we left him in this race in case anything happened last night. If he runs, it's the type of race he could go well in. He was placed on his last couple of starts over hurdles and the step up to two and a half miles shouldn't be a problem.
16:10 Galway - Bondage
We're stepping him up to three miles today and we think it should suit him. He has found his form in recent weeks and was probably a bit unlucky at Killarney last time out, where he didn't seem to get the best of runs. Davy Condon rides him and he'll probably sit tight on him early before trying to bring him through late. I think he's capable of getting into the frame.

He made a winning debut over fences ...
17:00 Galway - Experimentalist
It's a really competitive race and he has to improve if he's to be competitive but I think the step up to two miles should work in his favour. His last run on the flat came at Ballinrobe back in May and he ran well for a long way. The ground should be fine for him and he's got a handy weight. You need plenty of luck in these big fields but Declan McDonogh rides and we're hopeful that he'll go well.
18:30 Perth - Formal Bid
He has been disappointing but he showed a little bit more when fourth behind Daytime Dreamer at Downpatrick last time out and hopefully he can build on that. He must carry top weight here but it's not a great race and if he puts his best foot forward, he should have a good each-way chance. A young lad from the yard...

Lord Redsgirth
He ran okay first time over fences at Gowran and was second behind Heavenly Brook at Fairyhouse last time. He's making his handicap chase debut this afternoon and on that last run he should take all the beating. The trip isn't a problem and he won his maiden hurdle on heavy ground at Down Royal over Christmas so the conditions won't worry him either. He should go very well.

Grey Soldier
We've tried nearly everything we can with him to get his head in front over fences but we haven't managed it yet. As I always say about him, there's plenty of ability there but he's a monkey. He's more than capable of winning off his current mark and he will win one of these days but I couldn't advise anyone to back him.

14.00 Oscar Hill
He unseated Jason (Maguire) at the seventh fence in a chase here yesterday when he seemed to take off a little early and drop his hind legs in the fence. As long as he's okay today, we'll let him take his chance in the opening hurdle. He was a winner over hurdles at Downpatrick last month and with Callum Whillans taking 7lbs off I'm hoping he might have a little more luck today and run well.
15.30 Cottage Oak
He ran really well when just touched off here yesterday, particularly since the very testing ground wasn't ideal for him. He had quite a hard race and he's unlikely to run again today.
16.40 St Killian's Run
He's in very good form at home and runs well fresh (off the track since December) but we were hoping for a bit of better ...

15:00 Oscar Hill
Nigel Twiston-Davies' Astracad, officially rated 13lbs superior but only conceding 4lbs, looks the one to beat in this race but our fella will like the ground (good to soft), the two miles won't be a problem and he likes going right handed. Realistically, we're probably looking at second place but he's in good form and you never know.
15:30 Raajih
He's in good form and the step up to three miles should suit him. We stepped him up to two miles five furlongs at Tramore on the last day and he finished a decent sixth, so we're hoping another few furlongs will help. It looks a very low-grade race and he should be capable of getting competitive. I don't know much about the jockey (Mr N Slatter) but he rides work for Donald McCain,...
