He has had a couple of outings over hurdles and he ran well both times but showed definite signs of greenness. He should be all the better for those and they will stand him in good stead against some less experienced rivals today. He might prefer a bit of better ground but he ran well on his debut in heavy conditions. Davy Condon rides him and we're hoping he might be able to make it into the frame.

He's having his first run for us, having come here from Dandy Nicholls' yard. He was a winner on the flat at Beverley back in May and he looks like he should adapt to hurdling without much issue. The ground has gone very soft, which is a lot different to what he won on then, but he has schooled very well over hurdles....

He is unlikely to run - we left him in this race in case anything happened last night. If he runs, it's the type of race he could go well in. He was placed on his last couple of starts over hurdles and the step up to two and a half miles shouldn't be a problem.

We're stepping him up to three miles today and we think it should suit him. He has found his form in recent weeks and was probably a bit unlucky at Killarney last time out, where he didn't seem to get the best of runs. Davy Condon rides him and he'll probably sit tight on him early before trying to bring him through late. I think he's capable of getting into the frame.

He made a winning debut over fences ...

It's a really competitive race and he has to improve if he's to be competitive but I think the step up to two miles should work in his favour. His last run on the flat came at Ballinrobe back in May and he ran well for a long way. The ground should be fine for him and he's got a handy weight. You need plenty of luck in these big fields but Declan McDonogh rides and we're hopeful that he'll go well.

He has been disappointing but he showed a little bit more when fourth behind Daytime Dreamer at Downpatrick last time out and hopefully he can build on that. He must carry top weight here but it's not a great race and if he puts his best foot forward, he should have a good each-way chance. A young lad from the yard...

The more the ground dries out the better for him. He has a 10lb penalty to carry for his recent wins over hurdles but he's in great form and we have to be hopeful of a big run from him.
The only concern is that he has to concede weight to all his rivals and Dermot Weld, who has a great record in the race (four wins in last eight years), saddles an interesting hurdling newcomer.
Our horse is still entered in Thursday's Galway Hurdle and if everything goes well today then he could also run there. He needs a couple of horses to come out of that race if he's to get in but today's race will give a little bit more experience.
Davy Russell rides and it'd be great to get the week off to a winning start with our only runner of the day.
