anyone playing or the forum gone with LIV as well?
Market having a meltdown, Fitz and Lowry more likely winners than Burns apparently
Sam and Cam for me.

Away from the farce that is LIV we have a proper tourney on a classic, beautiful course and nobody cares
I think the PGA statement has put pay to any others deciding to jump ship. Hopefully now the focus can be on the proper tournaments. I fancy Lowry is going to win again very soon, although could do with the wind blowing for the rest of this week.
now wheres that switch!!! 10 Jun 22 12:47

6 more going in the next few days

Nice track this. Something that struck me trying to watch the LIV nonsense is how irrelevant the course is with the condensed shotgun start and coverage that just blasts out of context shots at you constantly - you don't get to know the course or the little subtleties because they don't spend any time analysing the shots or the course and there's no rhythm to how the course plays when they are all playing it out of the intended order. Maybe I'm old fashioned but the more relaxed pace of 72 hole stroke play where you can get to know and enjoy a course like this.
Final group tomorrow could be Finau - McIlroy - Thomas. Marginally better than Schwartzel - Du Plessis - Uihlein
Hope they don't wait another 12 years to come back here. Love this course.
Rory and JT really looking after the PGA tour playing so well the week this LIV rubbish starts up.
Yeah it's really good. But imagine how much more exciting this would be if there was a team element.
My main man be pumped about adding the name McIlroy to his list of victims tomorrow
Sorry, packed it in early last night. Yeah, I half-watched it but mostly been focussed on this. It pretty much was as expected, don't like the format and there wasn't much excitement.
Think the organisers wanted to set the course up as easy as possible today to get this kind of shoot out. They want their product to still be the one people are talking about. Its a good watch though.
Think some overnight rain and a drop in the wind have helped too. Rose on course for 59, could go lower.
This is some tournament. Absolute privilege to watch !!!

How many 59s we going to get?
Zero it is then.
Imagine shooting 60 with three bogies including one on the easiest hole on the course.
Good to see you in the tourney thread Mighty. Who do you fancy next week?

Shocked to see Dustin at 55 for next week rhino
See the course is only 250 yards longer than in 1988!
Small greens so good iron play and a tidy short game look the order of the day.
Not had a play yet and doubt I will do much pre Thursday could probably put a case for 20 but none convincingly.

Haha, nice little dig at Greg at the end there from Rory. Top lad.
Great week for the PGA Tour after all the LIV controversy to have two stella names going head down the stretch - strangely doesn't happen often enough
Yeah, between a Rory win in front of huge crowds and the Euro tour's first female winner there might actually be a few positive golf headlines despite the LIV nonsense.
Brilliant and reasonably subtle comment from Rory about one more win than 'somebody else'.
Had me googling and thinking he had got it wrong as he is three short of DJ and is light years behind Phil. But I see he means Norman.

Would love to be whoever has the final decision on US Open three balls.
I'd go:
Rory, JT, DJ
Rahm, Scheffler, Mickleson

In Greg's day before the PGA Tour had asserted a monopoly dominance...
For the record career wins
The Great White Shark 88
Rory 29
Golf was once a global game ...

We could get into debate over the rights and wrongs of the PGA Tour but I struggle to believe anyone thinks that golf is less global today than it was 30 years ago.
You should send your numbers to Rory. He'll be gutted, probably give his trophy back and join LIV.

The PGA Tour has decimated the European tour with its dominance but not satisficed with that they have effectively killed of the opportunity for the golf fans in Asia and down under to see the world's best with its wrap around season.
Golfers follow the money - the PGA tour are getting a taste of their own medicine with the emergence of LIV and potentially new alternative in the Asian Tour.

There are far more people playing golf around in more countries round the world now than there were 30 years ago.
Golf, like every other sport, is a more global game than it was 30 years ago.

Are they? any evidence to back this up.
Seve outside of majors played 64 times on the PGA Tour.
He had 90 professional wins.
