The course is relatively new and has never hosted a major event before. https://www.reviewjournal.com/sports/golf/the-summit-club-has-chance-to-shine-during-cj-cup-2417357/

All here bar Rahm who's still on his Spanish jolly and Dechambeau who's away getting his clubs shortened
![]() New course again and all the love seems to for Morikawa who practices here. Be interesting to see how the ryder cup players perform after their respective breaks. No value in Johnson but he was impressive in the RC. Ancer was disappointing last week but cobwebs might have been blown away and decent odds as a result. |

By:
Robert Streb being 6 under through 5 on a course they've never used before somewhat suggests they might have picked one that's a bit too easy.

Some tough looking holes in the wind for the afternoon wave. 11th is a bit much, 251 yard par 3 severely down hill, bunkers right and water left.
No wind and they'll tear it to shreds. |

Absolute shocker from the pre tourney fave.

Keef's looking a bit on the ominous side.

What wins this turkey shoot? - 26??
By:
No wind to speak of over the weekend which would be the only real defence so you're probably not far off. Might see a run or two at the 59. On first time unfamiliar tracks like this they do tend to start off very easy on the pins and setup then try to get harder over the weekend but I'm not sure there's much they can do with this place in calm conditions.

Keith could be pushing 20 today the way he's playing.
By:
If Mitchell happens to have an average day, this could still be wide open, with some juicy prices around for some seriously good players. A big "If" mind.
By:
Average the best he can hope for at the minute. Half the field suddenly taking an interest.

Anyone think rickie can close tomorrow?
By:
Wow, I'm doing the euro lotto.

No Rhino, but new coach doing good, or Rory either.

Hitting it to a foot on the first certainly settles the nerves.

There's no red button, is there?
By:
No, nothing til 10 i think

By:
Yep, nowt till 10,bit ridiculous. Looks like a great tourney to come as well.
By:
Though I've not seen a shot, and Rickie has extended lead - still find it hard to see him closing this.
Remember him thinning a short wedge into the water as he tried to close his last win (then incurring a penalty trying to execute the resultant drop, too, if memory serves). |

Morikawa giving backers some hope, maybe too late, gonna be exciting finish.

Game on.

I know they can't cover every hole of every tournament but in this day and age there should be coverage of the leaders final round on a Sunday.
By:
And Gooch ties the lead on 18, not sure he'll stay there.
By:
Totally agree, sky saying beyond their control, bollox I say. Well, 20 mins to coverage. That double helps my book no end, wouldn't mind a charge from ancer mind.

Hello all how's it going?
rhino - I backed the Cle Clowns today ![]() |
By:
You've joined us just in time for Rickie to hit it into the water on Hank 11, good timing.
By:
I had been thinking about Rickie and his love of the h2O just a few mins ago

By:
6 under par beats 3 guys from a 77 man field. Not the toughest track.
By:
Yeah, good shot to avoid it on 11. Not many finding water on 12 or 13 but Rickie could still find a way.
