Outsider punts on Lebioda and Ryder to start me off. Does seem odd that there will be no event in this area after this year, hopefully they sort something out for the future.
By:
The 10th not the friendliest of openings for those starting their rounds there.
By:
I do wonder they love Memphis so much why not just finish there and ditch East Lake altogether?
By:
Yeah, it would make a lot of sense to finish the Fedex at the home of Fedex, dunno why it hasn't happened. You'd think they'd find a sponsor for a big annual NYC area event. Good to see some red numbers on the board, they should be working for the big bucks and Boston was a joke.

Scottie on 59 watch
![]() 75 feet worth of putts hold after 3 holes. |
By:
And another at 5. If he can get the putting to match the rest of his game he's got to find the winner's circle soon.
By:
Put a man on 59 watch and he plays the 2 par 5's over par. The forum curse lives.

Ridiculously good rounds this afternoon from JT and JR.
By:
Yeah welcome back JT
By:
Soft greens and no wind, course is there for the taking. Looks late/early was the place to be this week. Rahm in position for a runaway here with JT struggling and the other big names a mile off the pace.
By:
Rahm may well put the foot down on the front side but plenty guys sneaking up on him, over the next couple of hours potential for this to be either wide open or a 1 horse race.
By:
Looks like we've got the added excitement of a hurricane possibly hitting the area on Sunday.
By:
Yeah hasn't had his best stuff TB, done quite well to keep bogey off the card. The list of chasers not overly worrying though.
By:
Do you like the course? Very different from everything else we see in NY at either this tourney or the majors, but it's not bad. Made for big swings - bogeys, birdies, doubles and eagles all over the place. The setting is pretty special with that view of the city.
By:
Yeah, I like it, I think you need water and some proper junk to really test these guys, the more classical parkland courses no matter what they do with the rough or how long they lengthen them these guys can deal with them. Like you say, you're looking for a course with as wide a range of scoring as possible and there's a good mixture here.

Decent fightback from JT
By:
Good bounce back from JT. The afternoon starters are going to have work to do to be anywhere in this.
By:
Conners -7 through 9, others starting quick, could be on 59 watch today.
By:
Hurricane forecast for Sunday so no play and finish Monday.
By:
If Cam makes this upcoming putt only needs a birdie on 17 or 18 for 59. He really does need to start accumulating trophies though and make a push for the top 10. 28 years old now, at some point you go from huge potential to under achiever.
By:
Yeah agreed Rhino, he's not a kid and needs a bit more at the business end.
Be nice to know the plan if Monday isn't possible, this storm could do a fair bit of damage. No idea really if this is the final round or not and the rules official wasn't helpful. They should've at least said if Tuesday was an option. |
By:
Birdie at the last for 59. Cam's certainly playing like it might be 54.
By:
340 straight down the pipe on the last too.
By:
Ranked 28 in the world TB, highest ever rank 24. He's significantly better than that return imo. Hopefully soon, us Aussies need someone to take the mantle from Ponce and Day, not sure Jason is ever really coming back

Got a decent look at it.
By:
12 footer for 59
By:
Not the best effort
By:
His odds seem kinda low considering the likelihood of bigger names catching/passing him. Wonder if that is with due to today possibly being the final round built in?
By:
Yeah, tbh i don't think this is one to bet seriously tonight given the uncertainty. Normally would feel a bit early for Rahmbo to be odds on but wouldn't be taking it on tonight.
By:
Monday's weather forecast is not good and a Tuesday finish far from ideal. Have to wonder how close they were to outright declaring a 54 hole tourney.
By:
There is no stopping Rahmbo.
By:
Rahm might make it pretty moot if they play on Monday, reckon he'll fire a good few ahead here.
By:
And if Rahm's a few clear and they revert to 54 nobody can really complain after the luck he suffered at Memorial
By:
Agree, just call it and move on the prudent play.
By:
Shot JT.
By:
Stop press.
By:
If Rahm pars home for -16 it at least keeps things interesting. And guarantees some sort of golf will have to be played.
By:
Unbelievable.
By:
Whatever happens over his last two holes this is now very nicely poised, wasn't bothered when it looked like he was running away but really hope we get a final round now.
