If the forecast is correct, late/early absolutely the side to be on. Makes an interesting proposition as the other side is weighted with more talent. Am going with the weather - ole mate, Kuchar and Putnam for me.

Plenty of doubles and triples flying around, especially on the fives. Ancer went from 2nd to 22nd final 2 holes

It's not the liveliest track but it does at least provide a decent test, worse tracks than this on tour. Seen it get voted the pro's least favourite course on tour but you could argue that's not necessarily a bad thing.

If these guys get the best of it tomorrow it looks like a big PM/AM advantage based on the current scoring.

Not much difference on scoring am/pm, 73.13/73.63,cut likely +2 depending on weather today.

2.5 shots is a big difference

Early starters mostly going backwards instead of kicking on so unless it really blows later might not be a big advantage after all.

Yeah two guys who seem to play consistently well but you rarely seem to see either really in with a shot on a Sunday afternoon.

All the 14s Spieth Masters gone now ! As short as 10/1 in places so if he wins Sunday night can see him going off 7 or 8 to 1 Fav !

Playing very well but the next couple of days will be a good test - he tends to get a bit wilder under pressure and there's a lot of trouble to be found round here.

Amazed at Camerons short price 296 tour events and not one win.

I'm still not convinced by Spieth. Vintage Spieth would be a few back at a tournament like this, string a few great holes together, jump into the lead and close out. Until he does this I wouldn't consider backing him.

The reporting suggested he wouldn't be within a million miles of being ready so that suggests to me the injury was over-hyped, maybe even by Brooks himself. Have had a play in the 40s, obviously there's now a good bit of doubt but seems to me if he's too injured to play well then he just won't play at all so seems like a bet to nothing.

Spieth had turned into a bit of a choker himself before his form really dipped. This will be a very interesting final round!

there are so many chokers in golf but i don't think i'd label Spieth one per se

his unworldly putting didn't hold up,he was army golf off the tee,both of which affected his confidence and it's a sort of catch 22 spiral

he's defo got some mojo back and he's not an unlikeable guy like some are but doubt he'll reach the heights he scaled b4 but he'll have his moments

Just seen it confirmed that Brooks is at Augusta and is out playing a practise round. A week ago Brad Faxon was telling people he'd heard Brooks was out for 6 to 8 months.

yeah I saw that TB-  what was Faxon up to? if you're not sure, then perhaps don't repeat stuff like that. At least Tringale kept to script this week!

I don't know what to believe with Brooks. Other than a picture of him on some crutches there's nothing really confirmed about the injury. If he's back playing golf this quickly it can't have been that serious at all.

He does love a bit of mischief / drama so I wonder if he's been quite happy to let the rumours spiral over the injury so it seems all the more dramatic when he turns up and plays. If the injury was serious I just don't see him taking any risks to show up and give it a go.
