not just the power play though, putting superbly and very tidy around the greens the full package

Not quite signing maybe but well and truly warmed up. Who would have thought -6 at Winged Foot, another grand old lady (maybe the grandest of all) succumbing to modernity.

yes, it is a very impressive display-  and yeah TB the only player I would have a harder time to see pick up the title would be fat Pat - still, got to separate head and heart

The fact Bryson completely deserves to win somehow makes it worse.

The members will be fuming. Watched a YouTube video of Erik Anders Lang playing the course in the lead up and one of the members proudly stating he had over 2K on the winner not breaking par. Doubt the financial loss will be a burden but the confidence with which it was stated under par was no chance and the pride taken in their course...

Either they bring in rules on tech for pros or this is just the way it is.

BdC has a tidy short game and is an above average putter..he has won this equally as much in and around the greens as on his way to them

he may be objectionable and wearying but he has self belief and is resolute so at the end of the day, love him or loathe him,you have to applaud him

and you can't say Wolff has totally capitulated either up to this point at least

Don't think it matters Hank, it will still be that even par is 6 shots back and now there will be more young guys smashing the gym and the cycle will continue.

Too much focus on this he is different from the rest with the power, he's only ranked 6th in distance, after 2 rounds he was ranked double figures.
this is a compliment to him, the fact is he has played mad good golf!

I hate his putting stance, but yeah he is a very good putter to go with the power

does that mean Dufner is going to hit the gym rhino? Grin

Highly doubtful Hank. But he won't win the US Open either. He's basically a golf tourist now anyway.

very hard to win majors. The longer it goes for Rory the harder it gets.

But in context, dj and Jt have only one each. Jason Day, jsutin rose, scottie and sergio only got one, Rahm, xander, rickie, monty, westwood have never got one.

Even greats like Els, Mickleson and seve only got 4 or 5.

Palmer and watson won their last in there early 30s not beyond the realms of possibility that Rory doesn't win another.

You look at the names he's joined in the top ten and it's fair to say Zalatoris belongs at a higher level than he's playing.
