haha I don't find it as strange as I thought I would without the crowd- - though coming down the stretch Sunday will probably feel odd

I've barely noticed a difference, it's not exactly Phoenix at the best of times.
By:
It's quite pleasant not having to hear '' Get in the hole '' when somebody is playing a 250 yd approach shot !!!

Varner having a nightmare start

Why wait til Sunday?

Steamed in from 50 to 36. The shrewdies knew, I guess. Three months off exactly what he needed.

w/d to those who backed him

The curse remains strong.

The weather looks great for the remainder of the tourny - the way 2020 has gone I shall brace myself for tornado, earthquake or alien invasion.
By:
Fair play to HV3, that's mighty impressive after an opening triple.
By:
blimey did he really? fantastic back 9 - I see Jordan is doing a rollercoaster back 9 - man, this is going to be a great w/e of golf

HV3 starting to look awful short with such a world class bunch hunting him down.

I think Bryson is going to have a massive year. Had a piece at 11.5, was killing it before covid and has picked right up here at a course that has not been a happy hunting ground.
By:
Agreed. Big body changes don't always work for guys but piling on the muscle seems to be working for him. Maybe a bit more gripping and ripping means he isn't out-thinking himself as much.
By:
The way DJ's playing there's a potential spot available in the world top 5 and Bryson would probably be my pick to fill it by the end of the year even though he's down at 13.
By:
I concur TB.
By:
I agree with what you're saying right now, but we'll see if it is detrimental long term.
By:
Apparently he's on 6 protein shakes a day. It's his bowels I worry about.

just backed xander, think he should be outright favourite at the moment to be honest, rorys a top 5 machine but how many does he convert, varner playing very well but hasnt a lot of experience in this position.speith, good to see him back at the top of a leaderboard but was/is in a slump for a while and that 3rd hole yesterday would worry a backer.thomas lack of coarse experience may cost him.ive think xander very comfortable at the business end of a tournament and 1 thing that keeps coming to mind is how he won in hawaii last year coming off a break like they all are this week.

By:
That's a nervy putt from hv3
By:
Jordan piling in the bombs again
By:
Great looking leaderboard for some Sunday excitement. Some sports really struggle without the spectators but no problem at all watching golf without the crowds.
By:
i suppose all the muscle mass in the world don't help you putt.
By:
Yeah rhino should be a great finish- nobody able to get clear today
By:
4 co-leaders
By:
gotta love how they look like they were just playing competitively last week and not over 3 months ago

By:
No Tiger for next week

wasn't expected was he?

By:
I built up a couple of positions but didn't like it so starting from scratch again - frustrating
By:
make that 6 co-leaders now lol
By:
His boat was nearby Hank so has been plenty of speculation. Meanwhile Bryson about to blow a gasket

How is Bryson going to maintain the speed of that back swing?
By:
not Harold's day today
By:
reet u flippers,wots yer fancies?

By:
Had a tenner on Brandon Grace 16/1. GL. Very congested leader board, could be in for an exciting finish.
