Just been spotting him on leaderboards more and more, even without any big results. Seemed to be signs that he was starting to get focussed with the exemptions running out. Not that it matters because he's going to get mugged by one of my least favourite golfers. Typical.

yeah I just put 200 on him at 33-1. if you look at some old leaderboards from a few years back he went very well in the pro-am, so we know the course suits his eye.

I don't think he's as confident as a few years back. a few demons there. hasn't got the same swagger in his stride.

Not nearly enough to get over this Hank, so stupid not to take it out at 1.5 but he looked so solid. Unbelievable from where he was he's not even got a chance now.

Yeah this is brutal at times, but we keep on doing it! obviously in hindsight we can all look at taking more out or evening up etc. I agree he looked fine though- tough break mate

yer cheers tel, I think he's top class basically, oozes class, amazing all-round game. another one in the potential future world number one category with rahmbo, Bryson etc.
have a look at when he played pebble beach that should give you some confidence that he's got a good chance in the us open as well.

Needs to speed his arse up. Great tipping lads. Not just on the winner.... Didnt see much of it at all but watched some this morning. Kaymer looked to implode a tad to me.Winner very good, and ponce who was on amongst others.
Golf back seat to the footy for once.

actually jedi I noticed that cantlay was a bit quicker this tournament than I've seen him in previous events when in contention. no doubt the fact that he won this time was not coincidence.

I was thinking last night it's been a while since we had a playoff on the PGA Tour so I checked, and as far as I can tell we haven't had one all year? That seems quite unusual. A couple of years ago we had that absurd run of about 6 in a row.

didn't get involved this week so didn't read this thread until last night-was hoping he would do it for you and personally desperately hoping Scotty didnt win this week
well done LR didn't get involved this week so didn't read this thread until last night-was hoping he would do it for you and personally desperately hoping Scotty didnt win this week
yes the opposite a big fan, especially now he seems to have sorted out the putter, but have got a good position with
Scotty regarding both the US Open and the Open, so rather selfishly want him to win in 2 weeks time.
I think he is very close to a big win

right! yes I was thinking exactly the same thing, some of his ball-striking was amazing in that tournament. as it generally is.
agree completely that he's close to a big win. he's got a great open record anyway. as for the US open, I read something where he said when he was a kid, that was the tournament he always visualised winning, but strangely it's probably the major that he's done the worse in. that can always change.
was thinking of backing him for pebble beach but as already got quite large positions on cantlay and Fleetwood I'll end up backing half the field at this rate
