Is it Chris Di Marco? Was challenging for majors regularly about 10 years ago then was abducted by aliens or something

Ian - Haas is still out there and has played 8 times this season but his game is gone it seems, couple of top 20s in the fall but nothing this year so far. Stadler had a serious hand injury that kept him out for more or less 3 years, made a few starts the end of last year but nothing in 2019 so maybe a re-occurance as he is entitled to plenty of starts with his medical extension.

DiMarco got a bad back and didn't play much in his 40s. Turned 50 last year though and has been sighted a couple of times on the Champions Tour.

Should really have won a Masters. The year of Tigers famous chip in on 16.it was basically his until that went in. The Nike badge,the wobble,the slow fall in to cup.  Unbelievable.... |

Stadler has had a long standing wrist injury he couldn't grip the club. He did make a comeback at the end of last year but hasn't been seen in 2019 - think he still has a medical extension.

Brett Wetterich briefly appeared in the Puerto Rico field but didn't take his place, that's another sad tale. Felt his wrist pop hitting a shot during a practise round at the US Open 2008, and that was basically that, was never properly able to come back, from Ryder Cup to absolutely nowhere with one swing of the club.
“We’re on the 13th hole, I’m right in the middle of the fairway and swung, and that was it,” he says. “I heard a pop in my wrist, and knew I was in trouble.” Wetterich had suffered a similar wrist injury earlier in his career and remembered the hand issues and complications that followed. “I knew I was done.” |

I looked up Smylie Kaufman, a shot off the lead in the 2015 US masters after three rounds.
This week he is world number 921 in the OWGR. 20 missed cuts, 1 withdraw, and a 69th in his last 22 tournaments. If you are playing that poorly it must be obvious to a teaching pro what needs to be fixed. |

2010 PLAYERS & 2014 RBC Canadian Open Champion Tim Clark - been inactive for so long that he's no longer even in the OWG Rankings - 43yo last seen MC at the 2015-16 CareerBuilder 152 weeks ago. The South African, who now resides in Scottsdale, battled through an elbow injury during the 2014-15 season but still managed to make the FedEx Cup Playoffs.

There was a time about 5/6 years ago when I thought Quiros , Romero and Villegas would become top line pros - but they have not really blossomed.
Don't know whether it's due to loss of confidence ,injury or deficiencies in technique. |

Tim Clark, Matty Goggin, Ryo Ishikawa.... Golf bettors who disappeared : Mr Meagi Back with a bang at the ZOZO this week in Japan - shoots -2, 68 (Gary Woodland and Ishikawa were the only two players to shoot bogey-free rounds). Asked about Woods' score, Ryo summed it up nicely: "Hearing he finished at -6 actually gave me chills." Meanwhile..... we have Golfers who just appear Josh Hill enters the record books but misses out on the spondoolies! Englishman Josh Hill entered the record books becoming the youngest player ever to win an Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) event with his two-stroke triumph in the Al Ain Open on the Mena Tour. But sadly, as an amateur he couldn’t take home his £10,000 prize money. Hill won the event aged 15 years, six months and 27 days breaking the record of Ryo Ishikawa as the youngest winner of an official OWGR event. Japan’s ‘Bashful Prince’ was 15 years and eight months when he won the Munsingwear Open KSB Cup in May 2007.  |

...finished a career-best 27th in the 2014 FedEx Cup standings, after victory in Texas in May. Then we almost forgot who Todd was... Now Brendon's a PGA Tour winner again. |
