Open de France - RAHM - Molinari - Levy - R.Fisher - Sullivan

Pretty amazing to have my 5 picks all under-par and no MC on this course

I think the 9th is the best par 5 in golf.

Pieters snapping his driver, what an absolute d1ck

Pieters shows his class.

Rifles another driver in water at 9, foul language, then snaps the driver.

Been bleating like a baby for most of the week to be fair.

wtf is fleetwood wearing

A did say RE Pieters...A big girl.

I have not played golf for a number of years so perhaps it's changed but if I had turned up to play dressed like Fleetwood I would of been asked to empty the bins on my way out.

exactly frames

Waring doing what Waring does best.

nice afternoon of advert watching spoilt by some joker at sky throwing the odd golf shot in,

A new slant on two ball betting ,tamper with the driver of who you oppose.Wiesberger this week apparently and a few others recently.

Get amongst it Thorbjorn

Why don't you play anymore?

Classic Thorbjorn

westwwod tee to green been superb but has some terribly luck on the greens , would you ever fcuk off mark Roe you clown

like he cannae putt

Only just found the water Thomas.

what an absolute overrated bottling punk baitch Pieters is
Ross Fisher the biggest wimp to ever hold a club
be ready for another toing & froing sunday chokefest

There does seem a fair bit of hype around Pieters. Obvious talent, short game is Mickelson-esque, but at age 25, 3 Euro titles is hardly an awe inspiring return on that talent thus far.

Noren on the march!Watch out

just had to lay another uber bigged up player..fleetwood..too skinny
tho' given all around him are already imploding or likely to
will probably fall over the line

looks like i've done my b0llocks already

Wearings ar$e gone after a couple of Birdies.
Time to level it out with a double.

uihlein another total choker

Uilein is folding like a paper doll.

The tour is littered with chokers.

Shocking

looks like his rear end is back in working order

Olesen goes back quicker than Bolt goes forward when leading
but from off the pace if he doesn't look at a l/board...

That is my hope Johnny, post a score under cover of darkness and then sit and wait

Give him time.
Back 9 still to come

Ulhein is absolutely shot.

These guys really are pathetic on the European Tour

u know the golf i've enjoyed this week, guys?
the women's PGA..should be an interesting final round

Happy for a Fleetwood 1.01 express from here

Lee John

WW's always been a good putter

Any decent links for the golf?
Cheers.

Classic WW,fluked eagle followed by a 6.

he hasn't half missed some putts again this week
plus ca change

Yours to lose now Tommy.

Perry or triplett for the seniors?

Any normal week to week Euro Tour course you would stroll in from here,This course isnt easy from 15-18 though.Proper golf course!

Superb display he is putting on.

terrific shot!

Done the same as his playing partner Koepka did the other week.Just shortened steadily all day.Impressive.

Very impressed with Fleetwood today.

Solid as a rock.

Really impressed with Fleetwood today

Solid as a rock.

Gained some serious traction in Open betting. Significantly shorter than the likes of Rahm and Scott, right there with Matsy, Day, Stenson and Rose.

5 birdies, no bogeys. Barely missed a fairway and a green and can't remember many pars that were longer than a couple of feet. Even Johnny and Canaletto would have to give him an A for that. Still might not be enough...

They don't give A's.The rest bottled it will be their verdict.

The Open is in his home town ,hope he shortens some more.

Fantastic display from Fleetwood. Really impressed.

Top 20 in world player..Greatly improved.All confidence i feel.Big win earlier in year,running DJ close,US Open,just kept improving.

Fair play..No choking whatsoever. On really tough day!My doubt this week were that he may be overgolfed if anything..Fatigued.

Not a bit.And rightly so.

Definite Chance in OPEN if hasnt peaked a couple weeks too soon.

Canaletto your comments made around 2 O'Clock were extremely wide of the mark ! Uihlein has played exceptional golf today and has only lost to a guy on top form who has played one of the rounds of the year. A little humble pie would be appreciated !

Weve all made remarks like some of above..Pocket talk. Some do make them a tad more than others, thats all...

I do agree RE today though EK..Front 2 exceptional.

3 weeks of links golf coming up, given the PGA tour has perhaps its dullest part of the season proper over the next few weeks, Euro the place to be. Looking forward to next week.

not far wrong,boys

his close(at the start anyhow) adversaries certainly didn't apply a lot of pressure so he was allowed to play within himself which,it can't be denied,he accomplished with a fair degree of aplomb
Uihlein defo put himself out of it early doors as is his wont
and once having done so was then able to play more freely
and nearly make a p/off
needs to grow a pair on the 1st tee
not halfway round
keep getting the 'u are not allowed to edit this post' b0llocks
even whilst in full flow which will please you guys
anyhow..onwards & downwards

AMUNDI OPEN de FRANCE....the 103rd edition - the oldest National Open in Continental Europe.

Not a ROLEX Series event this year, but NOREN is back to defend at Le Golf National (host course since Romero's victory in 1991 - excl '99 & '01).

GMAC 2013 & '14 winner and Fleetwood (2017) are chasing the money in Korea, but Siem (2012) and Jaidee (2016) winners are here. Wiesberger is understandably on the missing list, but another Austrian Matthias Schwab makes his second visit and in great form too. Maybe another MATTY this week in Mr Southgate in good form and 5th last year.
Interestingly, USA's Kurt Kitayama, with Hudson Swafford & Stewart CINK (by invitation), all make their debut here. For a French winner then look no further than Mick Lorenzo-Vera.

...waiting on who gets the 12am tee time

ONLY SIX more tournaments to go on the European TOUR before the final event in Dubai.
Only 50 PLAYERS make it to through this year to the DP World Tour Championship, so the competition for places is already heating-up.

The RtoD see Eddie PEPP at #50 with BEEF at 51st place...
https://www.europeantour.com/european-tour/rankings/race-to-dubai/rankings/

RtoD - Noren #63 badly needs the points, with Southgate at #47, MATTY Schwab at #31, Vera 27th & Kitayama #15.

As many have rightly said, poor field for such a beautiful and tough course. Backed Noren, not on current form but because he has done me favours in the past and has bit of class about him, which can't be said about many from this lot.

Wintery few days ahead in Paris (thankfully this event moves back to July in 2020)

A two tee start so just under way.

Noren Kaymer Levy have the prime tee time shortly

Playing tough - 4 leads, anything under par will be acceptable.

jordan smith started birdie, birdie, birdie, birdie, birdie, birdie -6 after 6 holes, fifty something on?

SMITH -7under thru 12 now... was some start indeed.

3 DISQ already.....omg...

FIGUEIREDO, Pedro*
GAVINS, Daniel (who only stepped late this morning for the sick Southgate).
SIEM, Marcel

One player was DQ because he thought placing the ball on the fairways was allowed... he lasted for 9 holes too !

Contrasting rounds for IRELAND's two stars in Paris - Paul Dunners +6, while Gavin MOYNIHAN is T10 at -3 under par.

poor Smith had all the boks going on him i see

How anyone could consider backing Darren Fichardt is beyond belief...missed his last cuts here and also his last 3 events

KURT has birdied 5 of the 6 par5’s so far... at -8under par he leads by two

5/5, 18 to come, cue a double bogey 7

Detry is best of the day with 4 under so far (par 5 18th to come)

A day to forget for Matty Schwab +7 and MC by one shot ffs

+6 for Fichardt (as suggested)

A Kurt and KAYMER weekend tia

Kitayama reiterated his ability in windy conditions with a 3-under-par played in the cold of Friday morning - he was a rare man to have bettered 70 and the average morning score was over 73.
The American won the Mauritius Open at a blustery venue and the Oman Open in comically windy scenes.
Both those were also warm however. Not this day. "Today was a lot tougher," he said. "Especially early. It was really cold and we weren’t really sure how far the ball was flying."

‘When the going gets tough, the.......’

A timely reminder that Noren came from SEVEN behind last year !

A stunning final round of 4-under-par 35-32=67 saw Alex Noren total 7-under 277, a figure none of the pre-round leaders could match in the Open de France at Le Golf National in Paris, he finished one clear of Chris Wood, Julian Suri and Russell Knox.
A tenth European Tour title for the Swede after a wait of 13 months since his last, the 2017 BMW PGA Championship. The 35-year-old also ticked off a fifth worldwide top three of the calendar year after a circuit that began with red numbers at 2, 5 and 12 against a blue at the fourth. Then, as the leaders began to struggle under the weight of expectation on an Albatross Course playing tough, Noren, in contrast, found something extra. At the par-3 16th his tee shot left him a four footer for birdie he didn't miss. At the next he dropped a par breaker from 18'0". Signing his card he was behind Julian Suri who double bogeyed the last and tied with Chris Wood who made bogey at 17. Yet more proof that he is among Europe's elite. "Unbelievable," he said. "I never thought I was going to win."

Anything can happen, and it.....

Gavin and KURT post 16 under for playoff

Cloudy, breezy and cool with showers in Paris

Super start by Kurt, and much better from Kaymer.

NICOLAS COLSAERTS the big-hitting Belgian leads the way and wins bar a fall

36yo NICO started the week 114th in the Race to Dubai and now commands a four shot lead for his 3rd European TOUR win.

His first ET victory came at the 2011 Volvo China Open, before he secured his second title at the Volvo World Match Play Championship in 2012.
Came close to carding the first 59 in European Tour history at the 2014 Portugal Masters, narrowly missing a 15ft birdie putt on the last hole of the first round.
THE first player from Belgium to play in The Ryder Cup when he was selected by José María Olazábal as a wildcard in 2012. As part of the European victory dubbed the Miracle at Medinah, he produced a stellar debut performance when, in partnership with England’s Lee Westwood, he carded eight birdies and an eagle to defeat Tiger Woods and Steve Stricker in the Friday 4balls.

what an absolute pair of choking c*nts these 2 t0ssers are

great, i am on hansen.

they've defo opened the door 4 him and he will have deserved it

another timeform squiggle?

he is joining them.

Joachim B Hansen should move inside the T50 in the RtD

totally blowing it..opening things up again 4 the smoking Belgian

NICO Chokesaerts is only 1-for-4 at converting ET 54-hole solo and shared leads, and 1-for-3 on the Challenge Tour

is it all over ?

nico 20ft, 2 putts to win.

thanks that's a relief would have been grim result for me otherwise.

nico wins.

HANSEN loses by one (had a nine on par4 13th yesterday) while NICOLAS COLSAERTS ends his SEVEN YEAR ITCH

still a nasty loss though.

French speaking Nico (from Brussels) - "The French Open for me is very special" - exemption to 2021 on TOUR ! ...and move to #53 on the RtD.

...Coetzee 3rd, Kitayama 4th with Kaymer, Ramsay and GAVIN MOYIHAN all tied 5th.
