There does seem a fair bit of hype around Pieters. Obvious talent, short game is Mickelson-esque, but at age 25, 3 Euro titles is hardly an awe inspiring return on that talent thus far.

his close(at the start anyhow) adversaries certainly didn't apply a lot of pressure so he was allowed to play within himself which,it can't be denied,he accomplished with a fair degree of aplomb

AMUNDI OPEN de FRANCE....the 103rd edition - the oldest National Open in Continental Europe.

Not a ROLEX Series event this year, but NOREN is back to defend at Le Golf National (host course since Romero's victory in 1991 - excl '99 & '01).

GMAC 2013 & '14 winner and Fleetwood (2017) are chasing the money in Korea, but Siem (2012) and Jaidee (2016) winners are here. Wiesberger is understandably on the missing list, but another Austrian Matthias Schwab makes his second visit and in great form too. Maybe another MATTY this week in Mr Southgate in good form and 5th last year.
Interestingly, USA's Kurt Kitayama, with Hudson Swafford & Stewart CINK (by invitation), all make their debut here. For a French winner then look no further than Mick Lorenzo-Vera.
