you might well be right but apparently they are planning to hold the tournament anyway, just in case he doesn't Wink

I wonder for those who have backed multiple runners, are you planning to lay off any of these bets or are you just going to run them?

because just backing one runner like Serbian has done seems to me to be a more successful strategy than throwing loads of darts and hoping one of them hits.

Can understand backing five or six players if you are doing it for the sole purpose of laying off at some point, but find it pointless backing five when only one can win,( AND THAT ONE THIS WEEK BEING DUSTIN JOHNSON,)

have to say i'm coming around to the serbians viewpoint even at the seemingly tight price of 11-2 on dustin Johnson.

I once backed tiger at 5/6 pre masters when he was in his pomp so compared to that dusty seems positively generous.

how much of the play do we actually get to watch anyway? from my recollection of last year the tv coverage of particularly the first two days was horrible. don't get to see any morning rounds. is there shot tracker?

LR get on the red button and watch ALL the groups and players going through Amen Corner. You get a good idea of how everyone is playing as they show a par 3, 4 and 5.

There is American commentary, usually by a couple of ex Pga tour pros that is pretty good, regular leaderboards AND NO ADVERTS!!

Maybe not everyone's cup of tea but I like it and as I said you get to see everyone.

Featured groups start on Sky(red button) around 2:30 BST. Amen Corner, a little later.
Skys main coverage begins at 7pm, but no live golf until 8.
We get to see 4 hours live golf from 8 until midnight on the first two days.

Also there is the option of seeing 2 other holes on the back 9 or a couple of selected groups-especially good if you have had a bet in one of the 3 balls.

It said that 5Live were doing all of the Masters in live commentary.......if it's live it's good. The PGA audio is excellent but they probably will not do the Masters. I'm a radio person on football and golf usually

you can't get the red button on a tablet device though can you?

I can't recall if they have shottracker on the masters or not. I remember they definitely didn't have it at the US open, because of some issue where the USGA didn't allow it.

Masters own website usually streams Feature Groups and Amen corner from memory, as do Sky if you have a Login...Laptop,Ipad,Phone. Red button on Sky Sports Golf channel,TV.

Shottracker pretty much gone everywhere now for worse features but can still get similar things on Masters website and elsewhere.

Best thing to do is wait till around 3pm when all up n running then see what is working best. Pretty sure there is Live Golf from around 230 pm as i was working away from home last year so started early and got back to hotel for Golf and Aintree and was sat on laptop till well after midnight. Coverage was great!

SKY Sports very annoying because come on air at 7pm and waffle with Monty and Livingston and Mcginley etc for hour before show a shot! While showing Amen Corner Live and feature groups on other platforms.

yes and leading up to the main programme they will no doubt show some four hour film on repeat from the 1987 masters or something.

It beggars belief that in this day and age that can't just have wall-to-wall coverage? I know that's not how they like to do it in augusta, but get them into the 21st century please.... Cry

Theyve actually lightened up quite a bit recently hence the digital coverage earlier, years ago you got the basic 7-12 slot and no more!no arguments!

Ill buck the trend here. I have backed Dustin Johnson to miss the cut @ 6/1 i dont fancy him at all i think the pressure will get to him way way to short to back to win it anyway imho. My two against the field which i have already backed  are McIlroy 8/1 & Fowler 25/1 e/w 1/4  8 places on both.

Good Luck All

By:

When: 04 Apr 17 21:20
Charlie, you obviously don't follow golf that closely,Dustin Johnson is a completely different player to the one that missed the cut,he is the most in form player on the planet,as soon as he won that first major he has improved and improved whilst others who were superior to him at the time have stood still or regressed,Trust me there is no way on this earth he misses the cut.

Dustin is a serious player but..... the imagination of a cornflakes box!!
Can't do it here....

Tyrell Hatton, Kisner and Justin Thomas my selections...
Keeping Phil on side just in case he fires on all the cylinders....

Shock as McIlroy flitters away again on Day 4...

DJ was tied 4th here last year.

In much better form now. His confidence must be sky high, the flakey no brains DJ of a few years ago I think is no more.

For me 15/2 1/5th odds top 8 is a great ew bet.
