This is the problem with the format, 7th match of the week, and their 4th in 2 days, and the quality drops. Only tournament that generally gets worse the longer it goes on.

can't condemn a man on the basis of one match johnny against head and shoulders the best player in the world right now.
If you had offered Rahm a pga tour win, a near top ten ranking and a runner up in the WGC matchplay before the season he'd have bitten your arm off. Think he can be pretty pleased with his progress. |

Lots of more experienced players than Rahm would have quit at 5 down. Played nicely to come back to 2d with 3 to go.

ROLL ON 2018 - and back we go to AUSTIN Bombers maybe an unfortunately apt word this week in the city of Austin, Texas - but hopefully no worries with extra security at AUSTIN Country Club. RORY is your fav (wins again if that putter's still hot) - followed by DJ (defending - beat Rahm 1Up 2017) while Haas beat Tanihara for 3rd. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2017_WGC-Dell_Technologies_Match_Play RAMBO shoots 59 in a practice round with his amigos (TNT, GAR & COTES) - Apparently, on Saturday at the West Canyon GC, a track located in the town of Weatherford, Texas, just over three hours drive from the Austin CC - Jon took advantage of a free Saturday to relax in an informal game with friends. Rahm - he quickly clarifies to Tengolf: "Yes, for the record it was a very easy field." Jon made eleven birdies, an eagle, and six pars. "It's the first 59 I do in my life. This year at Makena I made 60 before the Champions Tournament in Hawaii" he explains, "but I still made 19 putts, only two putts on the 17th hole."  |

Few tasty groups just drawn. Spieth v Reed will get the hype but last one out (Noren-Finau-Pieters-Na) looks tasty.

You rule out Sharma at your peril....he is unpredictably brilliant....logic would suggest Fitzpatrick but he appears to be playing like a dog at the moment...the top (Dustin) half of the draw looks 'heavy' so all in all, it's Sharma and Rambo for me.(14/1 and 90/1 e/w) GLTA!

Big fan of matchplay, not a fan of the little league table at the beginning but an extra days gold is nice, patrick reed and Hideki seem to be nice prices this week. Reed is due a win but i havnt yet made up my mind on my First selection.
The way i approach this week is to do one bet and if he is going well i leave it at that, obviously if player gets knoced out i choose another so hopefully it doesnt happen right away. Sometimes i will back my players opponent in the later rounds so im sure to get a person through to next round but it is all price dependent |

after looking at prices and current form Big Phil is about 22/1 to 25/1 in shops but 33/1 on exchange and his group is alot easier than it could have been so thinking that he should get thru to knockout stages he is my first pick of the week.

Just filled out a PGA Tour bracket to focus the mind on the outright betting. Much tougher path for Rory than DJ - hard to see past a Rory-Rahm quarter with potential for winner playing Casey or Thomas in the semi.
