Rory will make a few birdies on the back 9 on Sunday, finish his usual non-contending top 10 and everyone will look back at the result and think he played well.

rory holes big putt probably cos he was relaxed not thinking he would come close to making it.someone said two me years ago about short putts, he says the good holes outs spend their time thinking how to hole their 4 footers and the poor putters spend their time thinking how they are gonna feel when they've missed it.probably makes sense

tb , he will have played well from the long game view but poorly from the 100 years in point of view.

given the make-up of the current l/b,albeit fair few within striking distance
the way Day has come back from that dbl
he SHOULD really win this hard held
but not entirely convinced he will

16th hole at Firestone still in Jason's head watching him on 18th tee. Did the same thing on 17 here, scared to hit it again with water on the left. Takes the iron and comes out of it. Some scar tissue evident imo.

should he really beat stenson out of sight with only 1 shot in hand over him?id have thought he represents  no shorter than 4/6 to beat henryk from here and i wouldn't want to back him at that price.

hes 6.4 which tells us he is  more likely to lose than win, but why cant you see him winning , he's just trotted up in the open playing his best round on the sunday , so no nerve issues, no form issues.

How did Stenson celebrate The Open victory? Well, it seems that he is not having any ill effects from whatever he got up to. His wife seems like a good lady and both are mature people in a family unit. That stability is something a few of the young superstars are missing. Many are trying to cope alone with the trappings of vast wealth for sportsmen so young. Their game is suffering because they feel other pressures. At this stage of play, as dawn awakens here in Tipperary, I have a strong inkling that Henrik may still be an each way price at current best odds.

lAST pairing look like be under Immense pressure before even tee off.Lots of big players tucked in right behind here.Three unders and above still in with real chance for me.maybe even further back.
Viewing Day as the man to beat as will some of the players in behind him.
Not so much value about as yday.

It occurred to me that Rory will go home to Florida... Zika virus spreading itself there... will Rory be moving further north to Canada to escape it?

What's REALLY annoying is that fact that he'll win when a lot of his backers have turned away!

Day makes me scream! He's NEVER on my side! If I've backed him he'll do crap. Otherwise he'll win!
