BUBBA is BACK in 2017... 18/1 Bfred if your quick.

OK, lets right away RULE OUT EVERY SINGLE ONE of the 53 Chinese (1000/1) players...except maybe Li Hao Tong 35/1 (B365), Wu Ashun 200/1 & Liu Yanwei 400/1.
In a full field of 148 players - that leaves 98 possibilities.

THIS WEEK’s Euro Tour Player Blog comes from Alex Levy - For me it is always nice to come back to China. It was my first European Tour win and whenever you speak to a player about their memories of golf tournaments and big occasions, you always remember your first victory. I can still remember the holes I scored well on for my course record 62. This golf course really suits my game - it is open from the tee and has soft greens, so it’s more like target golf, which for me is how I like to play golf. This week in Shenzhen, we always go back to the Japanese restaurant at our hotel. It is really nice and one of my favourite places here, so I was there last night straight after my flight.

After the DP World Tour Championship last year, I said to myself now is the time to challenge myself and look at making some changes to my game. I had five or six years with my last coach, we had some great times and he helped build me from amateur to a winner on Tour, but it was the right time to change things up with a new coach and culture. And that’s how Pete Cowan came along. He works with some of the top players in the world, plus with his experience and knowledge of the short game that’s what drew me in. I think if you want to be a great player, you have to have a great short game. Devil

Bubba's on fire on Day 1. at Genzon GC this morning with a 6-under-par 34-32=66 to claim an early one-shot clubhouse lead. Two-time Masters champ made an early bogey at his third hole of the day, the 12th, but thereafter posted nothing but pars and par breakers. T29 and T8 on his previous visits shooting a 65 and a 66 on the course in the past, but both times in the final round, so he finds himself primed for a challenge in this tournament for the first time. Play was suspended at 14:10 due to storms in the area and resumed at 16:00 but the loss of nearly two hours to the lightning threat meant bad light caused round one in China to be called off for the day.

Tommy Fleetwood (still 10's) is in fine form this season and has an excellent record at Genzon GC - started the 2017 Race to Dubai ranked outside the world's top 100 but enters this week's event at 33rd after securing big points with victory in the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and second place at the WGC-Mexico Championship.
The Englishman missed the cut on his Masters debut but felt he didn't do much wrong at Augusta National.
This looks a great chance to get back on the leaderboard as Genzon has been a happy hunting ground for Fleetwood. He was runner-up in the 2014 China Open held there and has been T3 and T19 at Genzon in the two editions of the Shenzhen International. The 26-year-old, who sits second in the Race to Dubai behind Sergio Garcia, was also T3 at the Hong Kong Open in December so thrives in this corner of the globe.
