The jacket ceremony got a lot of traction on Twitter. Makes me think that aside from those that did defend like Woods and Faldo, defending champs don't seem to have a great record. I can't think of another time where the defending champ would be gutted by not winning and then have to present the jacket, and to lose like he did certainly not. Unique situation that was.
As far as meltdowns go, I think that was worse than Rory in 2011 and worse than the Shark in 96. Worse than Adam at Lytham. The 12th was truly Van De Velde-esque. Think he will be fine ultimately, has shown he can bounce back already. |

Danny's brothers Twitter account well worth a read
![]() If the boy does what he should, I will be able to say 'I've shared a bath with a Masters winners - brilliant. Spieth is lining up his putt. If I'm quick I can get a beer, go to the toilet, and paint the spare room b4 he hits it. |

Don't forget Speith's wild tee shot on the par 3 4th hole
"please don't go out of bounds, please, please". It hit the trees, dropped near the green, and he got up and down for par. |

It appears Fergie dropped 8k on Speith. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/golf/2016/04/11/watch-sir-alex-ferguson-tell-danny-willett-his-masters-triumph-c/
Willetts first reply is superb. |

bet willet at 90/1 and again at 44/1 and again with out spieth 4/1 loved it all.
people can say what they like but there is one thing for sure, and no one can dismiss it spieth will have that in his mind the rest of his golfing life,so when he goes to play a crucial shot to win a major he will have that to content with, thats not to say he cant do it.but he will never be the same player before it happened thats just fact.his second try over the water at 12 where he hardly reached water is possible the most haunting shot ever for a young man to forget. |
|
By:
I think he'll be fine. When you're young these things have much less lasting impact.

I think next time Spieth is well ahead on day 4 of the Masters, and he will be, he will stick to plan A and not alter any strategy, i.e. begin to think par par par par par par par par par.
Play his normal game all the way, this will be his lesson. |
