that hole when louis went in the water was typical brain-dead dustin.
surely there you go right whatever and take the water out of play. he nearly lost the hole! the other factor I think is quite important is how much that brilliant round against reed in the morning took out of him. We see with Rory how he times his form to coincide with the latter rounds- dustin by contrast seems to have no idea of how to pace himself to win a golf tournament. he's just all out all the time |

looking at three of the four semi-finalists it's a bit depressing how golf has been turned into a power game.

lewisham if it was like basketball and you had to be 6ft 7in to be good I could understand it. But Rory is 5'9" and 11 and a half stone. Day is only 6ft, so not a dustbin or kuchar.
It shows that size is no barrier to length, so level playing field for me. |

hmmm I'm not so sure. Rory looks very muscular now- he looks like he spends all day down the gym (which he does)
my point is it's a bit depressing if every tournament now is reduced to watching these gym bunnies pound a ball 350 yards down a fairway followed by a short wedge into the hole. Yes there is so excitement to that type of golf like when Rory drove the 13th but you could just find it turning off the spectators and you say it's all about technique rhino but zach johnson and luke donald are quite short off the tee- do they have bad technique? surely being big now is some sort of advantage? |

Not bad technique, just different lewisham. They both built a game with accuracy and supreme wedge play (not anymore for Luke). Usually you declare Spieth the winner every week, now you're lamenting the gym bunnies winning all the time as a foregone conclusion. Not sure where you're coming from tbh.
