Anyone else like Dufner this week? Solid first hit out last weekend, seems to have found something after winning the Franklin Templeton with Sneds in December. Poor field and a nice price, I'm in. Palmer as well, he never wins, but a back to lay he's good more times than not, and this is his course. The change of course more likely to help the Palm Springs regulars one would think.
will be fascinating to see him go toe to toe against tiger this week at torrey pines.
the old goat against the future goat
what a player jon rahm is!although he made a meal of that.will be fascinating to see him go toe to toe against tiger this week at torrey pines.the old goat against the future goat
Catch Me ifyoucan • January 18, 2018 4:40 PM GMT WHAT IS IT WITH THESE SPANISH and Abu Dhabi in 2018 ?????..... Appearance money all taken by Dustbin & Rors ? Rahmbo tees off shortly in the wrong desert (in sunny California) AND Sergio in rain delayed Singapore (shares clubhouse lead with three others, while Oosthuizen is still on 16th with same score).
Was a tip in itself, to say they both didn't travel to Abu Dhabi - correct decision

THE ('new') DESERT CLASSIC... (formerly known as the CareerBuilder Challenge) and no, not that one in the Middle East.....poor name for the re-branded event, eh ?
The scoring average per course for the last 5/6 years... The Nicklaus Tournament course...69.03...A tad easier. TPC Stadium course.................70.91 (note the Stadium replaced the Palmer course in 2016). Wait for the draw for FRLeader.
RAMBO defends - as reigning FedEx Cup Champion and OWGR #1 JUSTIN ROSE joins the fun this year - the events 60th Anniversary.

Don't often see a full field event with a 101.8% market.
Done Rahm, Hossler, Sungjae, Piercy and couldn't help but take Luck at 1000 for the litle I could get on.

Decent start to the year for Phil. The Tiger v Phil match might have been a joke to most of us but you can bet it's given Phil a real shot in the arm for this season.

obviously a long way to go but its not everyweek you get the chance to lay off a 53/1 bet t 3/1 after the first round so i have layed off 3 5 times my stake on Phil to cover all other bets this week and leave a acceptable green if he loses and a nice win if he hangs on. Dont really know what Phil will turn up, he could either go back into pack or have the event virtually won by the end of today.Just hope it doesnt get too boring.

market doesn't seem to love phil much considering he's two shots clear.
can sense an upset here... maybe this Curtis luck has been underestimated by the market. former world number one amateur.
we've had a champ winning on the pga tour this year, why not a luck as well?

strange round from Phil yesterday shoots -6 hardly hitting a fairway and also missing birdie putts from 4 , 7 ,8 ,9 and 10 feet, so he could have eaily been 4 more head and probably should have been closer to even par for some of the way he played. I have no iea what score he will shoot today but i would imagie e may need to shoot atleast -4 to win, that score will put alot of the chasers out of reach on the stadium couse, the only worry is Hadwin, will he continue his blistering form around here or is he due for a normal type round? I hope Phil hangs on but as i said nothing will surprise me.
Goodluck all on your selections.

Phil never has been one for maximum faith...Just too unpredictable. Superb player but a worry to be punting odds on. He'll likely come back at him now. Has the shape of euro tourney now, almost the same situation...
