Are we about to return to the Tiger of old times where one golfer (Jason Day) is so much better than the others that wagering on golf will be useless unless you bet against Day or bet on him at awful odds?

It certainly feels like that at the moment, but at some point he'll come off this hot streak. Whereas Tiger maintained it for years, and was in truth way ahead of the field.

Speith is young and also has had periods like that this year when he's looked unbeatable, and he will only improve. He's only 22 after all.

I think what Day is doing will force Speith and Mcilroy to up their game even more, although Speith looks a bit rattled by it at the moment...
