unlucky rickie..v streaky player
|
|
By:
They need to move the bunkers , grow some rough or limit the distance the ball travels . The only protection this course has is the weather.....and as we've seen they stop play if it's poor.....long hitter , good putter fest

By:
Doesn't need to come off, just go to 1 in 10 years.

streb/day,rose/charl cpl of pairings likely to produce some low scoring imho

Sorry Rhino for delayed response. Players I could see going really low from between 7 and 4 off pace
Matsuyama Rose Charl Speith Henley Fancy Oosty might go low too if the putter behaves but in this weather fancy DJ could shoot 68 in 2nd gear |

There is a bit of a theme with bounceback major winners in recent years. Rory won the next major after the Augusta meltdown. Phil won the next major after Merion. Ponce won the second major after Lytham. DJ would be a worthy winner.

Don't think anyone could grudge him one. Think he was a bit unlucky at Whistling Straits in 2010, had a chance to win when Clarke won the Open, blew it at Pebble when leading by 3 going into final round, blew the US at Chambers Bay. Have I missed any?

DJ pays for all my golf bets
|
|
By:
Can't have Oosty at the price happy given how he putts. Would be more likely to back him if it was windy and there was an emphasis on the tee to green game. That would suit ponce as well. I think Day could tear it to shreds, but the winners market is completely at the mercy of the leader. No one more likely to go berserk. I am Ski-Wiz green and staying out.

leishman ripping it up..birdies in couplets

By:
How much DJ get you? I think out of all of them DJ has the ability to go silly low but perversely also has the ability to shoot the worst round?
Dunno about Oosty think this place suits him shot -12 first 36 in 2010 when conditions were flat calm so I think he shoots 68 or better today. Only problem is he might lose ground. I backed him pre tourney agree he looks a bit short now tho |

DJ could be trailing before he's even had his lunchtime line.

Field green a mere 150 happy. That 273 and under is the one I want.

Yeah I don't think he chucked that one but did swing bad when he needed a good one? same at St Andrews in 2010 never going to win but did he not rip it OB 17 and 18 and blew the place bet? I think he should have 2 on his regime already but if he wins 1 wouldn't surprise me to see him win many more
Forecast fair all day and then wind picking up as day goes on tomorrow. I think you would be unlucky for it not to be 15 under or less I can see the lead being round about there today |
