Chris Wood wins his second European Tour event with rounds of 67,69,70 and a final Sunday 67 (-5under) in the Lyoness Open, by 2 shots from Rafa Cabrera-Bottello at -13 at the Choke Fest-ival in sunny Austria. Starting the day at 10-under (with 16 birdies in total), the 27-year-old had just two players above him on the leaderboard so was in with a legitimate shot at the title. The Englishman had five shots to make up on the Frenchman Grégory Bourdy, in the final round on Sunday at Diamond Country Club. The layers had Bottler Bourdy in their sights for sometime and his final round collapse came as no surprise (except to Ashleigh).
Links specialist, Chris Wood was in his element in the mountains of Mourne in Ireland, highlighted by him being one of just three players to have broken par over the first two rounds in the cold and often windswept conditions. Remember the Bristolian shared the lead at the iconic Co Down venue posting 3-under 139 at the midpoint (finished T16 - his last start). Chris joined five others atop the leaderboard at the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open with Tyrrell Histrionics Hatton, Rafa Cabrera-Bottello, Søren Winner Kjeldsen, Richie Muppet Moans Ramsay and Bernd Apple Crumble Wiesberger. A quick check on the OPEN betting has him at 150's with B365. ![]() |

bourdy's choke was top drawer..so epic that it gave his playing partner who had already sh*t himself once again after hitting the front fresh impetus once he had blown it yet again
both are only fit for canning & given away as freebies with pet food |
