never ever back mckilroy before (price never floats my boat) but at 7/1 ew 7 places ive had a small ew bet on the wonderkid.7/4 to be in the first seven looks very fair to me.

it's pi$$ing insane how top heavy this market is!!
theres some astounding prices on good golfers, i believe people look at last year and see "the cream" at the top and expect the same but if you go to any year past last this tournament throws so many surprises in the top ten, year after year 2013 - maggert/streelman/lingmerth/laird/crane/wittenberg/leishman 2012 - curtis/laird/bo van pelt/vegas/toms/petterson 2011 - choi/goydos/duffers/badderley 2010 - clark/allenby/glover/slocum/crane/van pelt all top ten - clark and choi with wins. just cos of pricing i'm gunna spread over quite a few biggies, i honestly think this weeks winner could be at least 200/1 + As for the top end, really think furyks going deep in this one... |

Just checked the 3 ball betting for the first round which starts in just over 24 hours . The sum total of matched bets on ALL the matches quoted on here is £3 , yes £3 !
Any explanation for the lack of activity ? |
|
By:
|
|
By:
But if you back say £10 each way at 7/1 meaning £20 staked to return £27.50. Seems odds on to be first 7 or have calculated wrong? Also assumes no dead heat.

Think DJ is the forgotten golfer here out to 43\1 will do for me with a saver
on Paul Casey who has come back to form |
|
By:
I don't play golf so I could be totally wrong here, but to me I feel like there's so much value I am having to use a lot of willpower to stop myself from going too crazy and backing half the field!

Kelly,
The simple answer is the PC. BF have killed off nearly every single side market outside of the winner market. How can you honestly price these markets up (whether to back or lay) knowing BF will take upto a 40% cut. It is then that vicious cirle where backers go elsewhere as no layers etc etc. The problem is that it is a nightmare to get on at the bookies due to the size of the stakes required. Accounts get closed very quickly despite liabilities being relatively small. All you find is that the demand across the industry for 3 ball betting etc is dying on its arse. Exactly the same for matchbets. |

Any news if Paul Casey is fully recovered from flu/food poisoning from last Sunday ? Thanks in advance.

By:
had to add oostuisen half stakes ew 7 places at 45/1
|
|
By:
Appreciate that , Marlas Magic , but still I would expect there to be some activity on the fifth Major . Wonder does anyone at Betfair analyse the worth of the subsidiary markets ?

good luck vegas, nice thinking, i hope they keep hitting driver for you !

Bit old school, but I can't stop backing Phil. Past champ on a track that rewards experience, and his second at Augusta seems to have been forgotten in the Rory / Jordan hysteria.
