It's not too easy. Far from it. Has always been the scoring major. Last year Bubba was -8 and won by 3. Golf courses are living and breathing entities, are never the same day to day let alone year to year. Give any of these courses a nice soaking these guys will rip em to pieces. Can't help the weather. Don't touch the course, it is as close to perfection as a course could be.

no real penalties other than super quick greens personally would like to see fairways narrower & some punitive rough make it more of a test |

Ban putting outside the greens should be a rule.

Super quick greens are harder to hold. If they're firm it brings all the swales and bumps off the greens into play. All those subtleties that people are saying don't exist... they do. Again, if any of the tour courses are soft, these guys will rip em to shreds.
Most refurbs are butchers jobs anyway. Look what they did to Doral because it was getting outstripped by technology. If anyone did that to Augusta it would be a travesty. |

nothing much you can do about it, over the years the masters has been a putting comp, they added length but technology has recouped that and without wind its is/was/will be a putting comp.
