Slow play is killing golf it gets so boring so good to see clock being
used to effect it should speed up other players. Every deserved this win not least for the way he putted under so much pressure and putt on 18 was excellent thoroughly deserved Stenson didn't win it mattered |

Just wish they would clamp down on it more. Harrington was just embarrassing at the Honda. How he got away with it is incredible. The inconsistency definitely seems to be a problem.

Only Haas, Bae, Martin, Moore and Walker have closed out their 54-hole leads. That makes it 13 in 19 events on TOUR that have not won after being the 54 leader.
Walker is the only person on both sides of this stat - as he didn't win from his lead at Kapalua. |

All greens will be newly grassed and hole No. 16, as Mr. Palmer said on the coverage, is going to change dramatically for next year.

I don't quite get why people expect the 54 hole leader to convert and label them chokers when they don't. Often there are as many as ten players within 5 and one gets hot.
1 in 3 converting seems about right for me. |

So does winning the tournament mean the player didn't choke?

To be fair it's a different type of golf you play if you are out in the lead the final
day. All golfers in the lead on the final day get defensive and play safer shots which gives the advantage to the following pack who have to be aggressive like Every this week. So bottler I think not Stenson played well but Every played better simples |

the chasers can certainly take more risks sometimes it comes off. Every timed his run perfectly going clear on the 18th. Stenson didn't cover himself in glory on sunday with the three putts and not birdieing the par 5s.
Thereis always the chance that the one of the chasing pack will have a good day, hole a few putts be in the grove and post a score. It is very difficult in golf to consistently score well. There are so many variables. Some days you play well but get no breaks or whole nothing whilst on others you havent got your a game but compile a score. Winning from the front is difficult. Tiger was superb at it but for a decade he was simply that good that even a steady round was often as good as the rest could manage. Winning is difficult there haven't been repeat winners this season yet state side. |
