nowadays anything softish, Taylor Made Lethal are good balls, plenty out there are as good as Pro Vs and better

The covers are good now. When I was young you could get a great whirring sound off a ball if the cover had a big cut. No shame then playing with a ball with three or four good cuts.

a mate of mine played a posh course years ago. he met a bloke on the first tee and agreed to play for a wrapped ball. on the final green he holed a 6 footer for the match.
