Usually we all like a golf ball just because of the name .. and when you went to look for them in the woods as a kid you got super excited when you found a certain ball, which did you like best?

Mine has to be MAXFLI but also like these too >>>

Titleist
Pinnacle
Ultra
Slazenger
Dunlop

anyone still got a Uniroyal with the hexagonal dimples...are they still legal ?
By:
Smithers-Jones.

They were called Uniroyal Plus6, used to love opening the wrapper on a new ball, not quite the same without the wrapper, could be an interesting marketing ploy by some manufacturer to give give them go?

Dunlop 65 was probably the most popular ball when I was a kid (1.62" of course)

Slazenger+ ; Penfold Ace were others.

Commandos were great for pitch and putt as they spin loads.

The covers are good now.  When I was young you could get a great whirring sound off a ball if the cover had a big cut.  No shame then playing with a ball with three or four good cuts.

a mate of mine played a posh course years ago. he met a bloke on the first tee and agreed to play for a wrapped ball. on the final green he holed a 6 footer for the match. His opponent congratulated him on his nerves of steel and presented him with a ball wrapped in a 50 pound note. he thought he was only playing for a new ball Shocked

Optima Tour (in the 2pack gold box)was popular around 1990

Around the same time,Titleist balata was the funnest ball,
if you could afford half a dozen each round(without losing them)
