i dont disagree, the yanks did show all the shots though, they seem much more
interested in the golf, sky seem more interested in production values and a massive team of commentators. |

Skys coverage of the actual play was abysmal from start to finish - much like the BBC at the Open.

The yank on sky is the best too imo, although he can get a bit carried away with the superlatives at times. Butch does come out with some great lines though, my favoutite was his description of bjorn as looking "like a tugboat captain who'd been too long at sea"

Probably not kelly but i really think if they came out of sat morning fourballs 6-6 we'd have had a much closer match That fcking poulter chip in....what a critical moment that was |

Not sure we can crow that 'The Americans are not good enough anymore'.
USA were missing Dustin and Horschel and Kirk ( 3 players in the world top 22)...reasonable to think they might have made some impact if they were there. Not that much between the sides really ...a few fine margins here or there and we have a different ballgame...as is the case in most match-ups really. |

They were also missing Woods, Dufner and Stricker because of injuries.
That said they were soundly beaten. The difference for me is Europe currently have 4 or 5 of the best players in the world where as the american team are all much of a muchness. Europe's top players delivered Rose, Stenson, McIlroy, Garcia, added by great weeks for donaldson and dubisson. America were badly let down by the performance of Watson, Kuchar, Furyk,Z Johnson. The American's also have too many players in their late 30s early 40s. Suspect their team may be very different in two years time. |

Dufner and Dustbin probably would have made a difference, not sure about the rest...Stricker wasn't needed given there was no requirement to include somebody willing to play with Tiger
The likes of Furyk and Kuchar are at nothing really but watch them rack up the top 10 finishes over the next 2 seasons and comfortably play themselves onto the 2016 team |
