really gets more insane every time i look at the market, clark n every both above 500 now , jeff overton, his best season in a while 3 top tens, 6 top 25s he's 910 ffs.last few weeks, fair enuff hard courses the creams been rising, but this is a scoring track!!!, honestly believe on this type of course a 100 of the 125 could win this on there day.rory and co simply cant just slip the field here, i'm sure they will play well and get double figure under par BUT SO WILL MANY OTHERS HERE, at the very worst some of these 400/1 ++ shots are going to be around and about, which means much much lower prices in play.Queue rory 6 clear after 1st round lol

Can i just say, sorry this post is misleading and well wrong.

still think prices are insane, but this is a tough course, have no idea where it came from but untill rhino pointed it out i was working my bets out under a completely false outlook :(( - i'm considering scraping my book and starting again, can make a green due to nice punt on leishman, got 110 now 80.

oh and cheers rhino, win or lose working bets out on bad info is not a great idea lol Silly

When I backed Reed @ 130 I kinda felt a bit cocky thinking "This will be an easy trade!"

He's 170 now!

And don't get me started on Villegas!Cry

I like the classic vegas. The old courses that have stood the test of time tend to produce awesome events - Augusta, Riviera and yes, Firestone.

Was expecting more $$ to be thrown around this week that what has been matched so far.

As much as the fed ex cup must be huge success in america, i'm not so sure the UK and it's general public has grasped the fedex yet, actually was only last year i got into it and loved it now.

have ummed and arred about STREELMAN for days, thinking just a mad one that he had descent results here in 08 and 10, but then i read this....

Kevin Streelman, at an almost eerily familiar venue. His grandparents are buried in the graveyard next to the 7th hole! Ridgewood Country Club is a course he describes as "like a second home" and in his two appearances here to date, he finished fourth in 2008, having led by a stroke going into the final round, and third two years later, despite an opening round of 72 that left him languishing in 72nd place. This is what he had to say about the venue after shooting 63 in round two in 2010, "It just solidifies the fact that I really love the golf course, love the area,"

no brainer as a E/W punt at least for me now!!

rarely do 1st round leader but hit it lucky last week with webb sim worked out well as laid 1/2 off @ 4/6 and with villegas coming through was sweet as cin ould easily had five dead heating at -6 otherwise
last week i had read simpson called his daughter whyndam so fo;owing this vein will have stab on strellman on this markrt

still unconvinced rory (fair fcuks to him for past 3 tournies) but four in row cant see it but upside is there r plenty of big prices out there

between sailing and work and horses havent time for big team so have two backed blixit @550 and harris english @230

have backed stenson in eway doubles with ebor /nuthorpe dselections and couple of players from ceczk open if he drifts to 23s here will back him single

York is tough meeting anyone looking for a fluter in the two handicaps tommorow could do worse than throw a few quid at BRONZE ANGEL and THE GOLD CHEONGSAM

will be monitering things from the high seas sat/sun..................gd luck with your selections

Said at the top of the thread thought there'd be good value in the market.  Got some serious winners in the shape of Clark, Hicks, Hurley and Singh, the latter two being highly speculative I admit.  Clark in particular looks way out of line when he's not only got a recent win but is also 1st in sand saves and 3rd in driving accuracy, both of which by all accounts are pretty darn important round here this week.  Dunno if I'm missing something, but as someone who is primarily a layer I know that it wouldn't stand out as a lay to me if he was sub-200, which means I've been wiring heavily between 450 and 500.

well said i was done but having one more punt.
one of those life changer ones - Boo Weekly @ 1000 - i'm far from fully understanding courses but i believe this is one he will like even tho he missed the cut both times, but greens and accuracy are his bread and butter, and with them being particularly small greens i hoping the focus won't be on the putter as much. - anyway he is my JACKPOT MAN - C'MON BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :))

Several times I would think. Michael Thompson won the Honda Classic last year at 1000. Some of the real roughies of the last few years who may or may not have been 1000, but would have been bloody close if not - Ted Potter Jnr, Stallings, Duke, Wagner come to mind. And can think of a fair few who hit 1000 in running.

vegasdreams, the perfect system is simple. Just back winners and lay losers.  Refine it a little by backing big and laying smaller, or laying small and backing bigger.

Team of seven so far, just starting to add a few of the old faithfuls.  I've written the racing off already. Sixteen NH races, would struggle to find enough races for an Each Way Yankee.

I can see the logic behind Haas, Leishman and Kuchar.  Not sure that Roryo, Scottyo and the rest of the top six offer any value at at all.  Would rather wait and a couple of them tomorrow.  Good luck with yours.Cool
