A rare occasion where more money is matched on the eurotour than the PGAtour.....punters have there priority right unlike Casey......how come he isn't playing?

Enjoy your big week England. You really should have more events but at least you have this and most of them come back for it every year. Rose the winner for me.

I like Manassero at 80, his recent form is not good, but always seems to play well at Wentworth. Rory's odds are too low as usual.

Bernd Wiesberger is my bet this week. I backed him last week and watched in dismay as he tried to finish last on Thursday. As my bet was down by Thursday lunchtime I looked into his recent history. He seems to perform best immeadiately after a missed cut. His last 9 missed cuts have been followed by T2,T9,MC,T23,T4,T4,T4,T6,1. Most people point out that he somehow managed to make the cut but I believe my point still stands in that he has the ability to bounce back from a poor performance. He has publicly stated that this is one of his favourite weeks in the calendar and finished a solid 12th here last year finishing 4 off the lead after an opening 73. If he needs any further incentive then a top 3 finish will put him into the top 50. I was hoping to get 100 with the books paying 6 places e/w but the best price is 80. I am on at betfair prices win, top5, top10 and 1st round leader.

Liked golf for a while but have recently become obsessed with stats!! dunno why its not normally my sort of thing.
ANYWAY was just loking at old leaderboards and noticed summin which imo "could" be usefull....

IN THE LAST 4 YEARS 2010-2014 EXCLUDING PAR 5s ONLY 13 PLAYERS HAVE SHOT UNDER PAR.

of them 13 only 7 could be classed have having any sort of form

of them 7 one has clear daylight....heres a small look at what i mean...

donald -2012 -6/ 2011 level/ 2010 level

westy- 2013 +2/ 2012 +7/ 2011 -2/ 2010 +5

rose - 2013 0/ 2012 -4/ 2011 +1mc / 2010 +7

jiminez - 2013 -1/ 2012 +7/ 2011 +10mc/ 2010 +5mc

mannasero -2013 -4/ 2012 +12/ 2011 +4/2010 +6

basicly they get worse n worse from there.

now in my head how they do on the rest of the holes on this particular course is what i would class as "liking" "disliking" a course , which every man and his dog tell me is the main guide for this.

So its plain as day donalds a shoe in followed by rose.

NOW BE NICE REMEMBER I AM NEW TO THIS!!!!!!

AM I LOOKING FOR THINGS WHICH AINT THERE? OR IS THAT A GOOD STAT??

Looking forward to watching a good field of players taking on a top class course and the wall to wall coverage that Sky are giving it.Thrown five darts at it and hopefully will get some mileage out of them.

Schwartzel - Showing some progressive form of late and has decent form around this course both before and after the course upgrade.Finished nicely with three 67s at the Byron Nelson last week and but for a third round 79 when he last played this event in 2012 would've gone very close to winning.Bet him E/W @ 33s six places.

Wiesberger - I was nodding in agreement at the post of Pantsonfire earlier as I too think Wiesberger could be in for a big week.As written elsewhere he done well to come back from a first round 80 last week and his GIR stats of the three week stint he had out in Asia in late April/early May where he was top ten in that category  every week impressed me.His course form is progressive with 12th last year a very decent effort.Taken 18 for a top 5 place on here along with 110 win only.

Ramsay - I like this guy on tough courses where par matters and that's what we have this week. His course form was distinctly average until a very good weekend last year helped him into the top 10 and hopefully he can build on that.Normally you would find him near the top of the driving accuracy and GIR stats but although he's a little further down on those this year,i'm drawn to the fact that his putting stats have improved a lot since he came back from an enforced injury break earlier this year.Bet him for a Top 5 place at 18s and win only @ 110.

Jacquelin - Take away a 4th place finish in 2011 and you have a guy with bang average Wentworth form but it's his form of late that gets my interest.I just have the feeling this guy is coming to the boil nicely.Taken the 38 for a Top 5 placing on here along with 230 win only.

Sullivan - Felt like I had to take one Englishman due their good record on home soil here and having seen various names touted elsewhere this week,I was a little surprised one or two more didn't throw this guys name into the mix.Admittedly scoring 72/75 and missing the cut here last year is a little off putting but i'll give him the benefit of the doubt. You'll also have to forgive him poor efforts the last couple of events this season but he's had some good form prior to that and as a guy who possesses a solid tee to green game,i reckon this course could turn out a good fit for him.Took him Top 5 at 40s with one of the bookies and 340 win only on here.

Best of luck.

Amazed in this day and age the players can still smoke on the course.

I've played it a few times. Its a really fantastic layout. Only slight negative for me, is that it gets massively overused and isnt in great nick alot of the time. And its normally really slow!
