Spieth's look to the crowd there. Laugh
Report Kelly May 12, 2014 12:19 AM BST
Guess Spieth will have to join the long list of players described as chokers by the forum alumni . He has disintegrated in the last 2 hours of play , does not look remotely like the player who strode fearlessly the fairways for 54 holes or so .

Good news though for his followers is that he is only 20 , and one swallow does not make a summer .

Events over the last 5 years or so just go to show how good Tiger was at sucking up pressure and turning any chance into victory . Spieth was pretty average on Sunday , and Kaymer wobbled badly down the stretch . Sergio blew another good chance with a water visit , Westwood will probably never win anything approaching a Major .  Rory looked the best out there on Sunday , no one else can hit shots like him when he is in the groove , but its a runaway or final flourish for him so far , and his second round scoring is becoming a joke .
Report Tom May 12, 2014 12:43 PM BST
Rory is the absolute master of the final round 65 when under no pressure at all.
Report padlock May 12, 2014 1:29 PM BST
kaymer made some crazy decisions when they resumed,to putt on 16 was insane, think he was afraid of duffing a chip as he had
done in 3rd round near the same area
Report johnnythebull May 12, 2014 2:14 PM BST
guys, can anyone tell me what price kaymer hit when he went to -15 & was 3 shots clear?cheers.
Report Kelly May 12, 2014 2:19 PM BST
Think I saw 1.09 , certainly 1.1 . Looked past the post at that stage , 3 clear and playing well . The weather delay nearly spiked him .
Report johnnythebull May 12, 2014 2:48 PM BST
thx,kelly..didn't think he'd be q that skinny was thinking more so 1.2xish.
was surprised he made such a f*** up of 15 & looked like he was going 2 repeat the dose at 17...lucky 2 stay dry..poor chip but WHAT a putt.when it's ur day it's ur day.surprised & a little unimpressed actually that he showed those fallibillities.Spieth folded p tamely becoming a bit of a habit albeit he's only 20 & has contended so often lately.happy 4 Kaymer..v genuine, unassuming guy.
Report Si-K May 12, 2014 6:38 PM BST
Kaymer was available to back at 1.10 lay 1.11 during the thunder break. I couldnt beleive he was so short and layed accordingly
Report trebor May 12, 2014 6:46 PM BST
He touched 1.07 when 3 ahead
Report sheppy123 May 12, 2014 7:32 PM BST
Kaymer was pissing me off by getting too far ahead so I went to bed. I wanted Furyk or Garcia to win.

Can anyone tell me what odds Furyk went down too???

If I'd had stayed up I might have layed him off for a profit but no such luck!
Report Mighty Whites 2008 May 12, 2014 7:40 PM BST
Furyk was 1.8 - 1.9 for plenty of money when Kaymer chunked his chip on 17.
Report Mighty Whites 2008 May 12, 2014 7:42 PM BST
Been a few instances where a player has collapsed to victory this year Reed, Kuchar and Walker spring to mind. Kaymer was superb last night until the storm. Once he came back he was struggling badly. 15 was a shocker. Duffed chips on 16 & 17 where he was fortunate not to be wet. He fatted his approach to 18 and was that nervous he putted when he should have chipped. That said he got the job done just.
Report Busvaldo May 12, 2014 7:54 PM BST
Got it done, that is the bottom line.
Report sheppy123 May 12, 2014 8:10 PM BST

Report Ski-Wiz May 13, 2014 12:12 AM BST
If I'd had stayed up I might have layed him off for a profit but no such luck!

You could have put up a lay at 2 or something in case furyk does come low.
Report sheppy123 May 13, 2014 8:28 AM BST
Yes it did cross my mind but I was too convinced that Kaymer was gonna walk it. I should've known from previous experience that things could get close. I just felt psychologically messed up at that moment in time, and I still haven't gotten over the Eurovision disaster!
Report Mighty Whites 2008 May 13, 2014 5:44 PM BST
In fairness Furyk looked big at 1.9 after the duffed chip. A 3 putt was as likely if not more likely than a two putt and Kaymer had the difficult 18 to play with his head spinning.

Yeah well i made the same mistake..........normally i would have laid Furyk @ 1.9 and balance the green between him and Kaymer as at that time Furyk greens was 3 to 4 times bigger than Kaymer. Was so convinced that Kaymer wouldn't make that putt, i left it alone. I went against my normal trading rules and ended with a small win. It does go to show that one should stick to their rules no matter what.

Eurovision is a fixed tournament and a total 'scam', wouldn't dream of putting any money into it.
