The Blue Monster has had a makeover from last year. Interesting to read the thoughts of Hanse who was in charge. Surely whatever he did, it doesn't justify $400 USD for a round there

Since reed ditched his wife as caddy he has been superb
His wife is pregnant but said she's back when baby is out. Sure he won a playoff with her on the bag vs speith?
Reed was playing well when she was on the bag, but he certainly seems to be hitting a different level. Great player to watch. Probably going to beat my lad Spieth to a major.
Reed is a terrific price only man on the leaderboard in total control
leaving a putt short first sign of being tentative.

Just don't like what I've seen of him. Admittedly that is just off the tv, but some players you warm to and some you don't.

he done the same last year Donaldson when I backed him think it was Portugal he is driving it 300yds plus and never went for it
He could probably hit a 3 wood in the bunker, not seen anyone in water either so not really a risky shot

Donaldson pars 18 playoff at worst for him I think. Reed not playing the back 9 aggressively has had an adverse effect on him.
That drive at this stage is probably worth about half a shot.

The difficulty of the course really kept interest for everybody but sometimes it could be a bit unfair. Felt sorry for Jiminez after he found water after a good golf shot. When you see him angry you know something is not what it should be. Roll on next tournaments. Brilliant tournament for a lot of our forumites and the muppet is surely making a case for a pitch on a daily sports newspaper or Golf magazine column.
