Not really a fan of the birdie fest events but this one is a corker. Good course and a great track to play for guys in form. After playing darts last week, the strategy is simple this week, back the form horses. A look at the last few winners:
Rory McIlroy - Won the PGA 2 starts prior.
Webb Simpson - Won the Wyndham 2 starts prior.
Charley Hoffman - Not as impressive but neither is he to tbf. Still, 3 top 10s in 5 prior starts.
Steve Stricker - 2nd at the Barclays the week before, and in the 5 starts before that a T6 at Firesone and a win at the John Deere.
Vijay Singh - Won the Barclays the week before, with a win at Firestone 3 weeks prior to that.
In a nutshell, back Adam Scott. Gone to another level as a player, recent form is outstanding obviously, has won here before and recent course form - T7, T8, T5.
17s is a gift. Surely won't last and with Tiger under an injury cloud, wouldn't be surprised to see 4-5 points shorter by the off.

yep, it wasnt unexpected tho, but i like him so dont like seeing him when it goes this way for him. Not sure how many more times he can take it happening before he gives up playing golf
watching Sergio bottle it is painful viewing.
Nope.....its normal viewing..........

Garcia bogied two of the par 5 so far.....where is HG?
Oh Garcia and Stricker now matched.......all healthy green once again.....Keep it up Stenson......Othrs can keep ot with Stenson for reason to provide some excitement in the back 9
I really like Spieth, and a fellow longhorn so I am biased lol, but who was on here the other week saying he was a choker?
Henrik's ball striking will make him very hard to beat with this lead.

Hank... i love jordan but absolutely no pressure starting the last round that far back. doesn't need to prove anything at his age.
you can only be a choker when the pressure is on... IMHO

unfortunate for stenson they had to break. hopefully sergio will pull himself together
Yeah, when pressure is on but just because he messed up in contention the other week he was called a choker, despite winning this year and proving what a class player he is this season. Another brilliant player off the Uni of Texas conveyer belt

Long way to go yet.
I'm just thinking they should pack it in now and give it to Henrik.
I'm sure everyone would agree with that ?
Another 'inclement' weather...........'inclement' my a r s e.........
I don't mind if Garcia wins now.....greens levelled with the others.

Just saw Rory chip the ball about 1 foot on the 10th hole.......utterly terrible shot.
Waking up to a 'Day 4 Sergio lead 2.6 Situation' is like the Postman delivering bars of gold.

Wouldn't be wanting to take any of the 1/2 about Stenson atm. Surely too early to give it to him?
Awake, still got some live golf and Henrik out in front
Would love a Castro charge

Boy Wonder is "unkown" off the tee at 9. Please bogey the hole Rory.
Rory is taking a drop according to pga maps
it had better be a penalty drop.
it had better be a penalty drop.
Am I missing something here?
9 holes still to play. Only 2 shots ahead. Stenson @ 1.25.
Anything could happen yet!

yeah it's ridiculous, he's messed up so many times in this situation in the last few months
I am not calling this one yet. 1.3 is a nice little price to lay. Should get a chance to trade as well. You will be in profit before the 18th tee. Just the way I see it. Stenson should win but too early to be putting the house on him at 1.28ish.

Stenson is a banker here......nothing chasing......no pressure and playing the best golf....GSM!!!!

Maybe. I'm still happy to lay at this price though (now 1.13). Even with three shots clear - you never know.
A loss of €19.46 for me. Was on Jordan Speith at around 80/1. That is as near as I have come to a winner lately. Well done to Stenson backers. And nice to see a European win. Might get my money back on Jordan next time. Hope price does not get too tight. If it does, they can keep it.
Levelled out at 1.14. Henrik should steamroll from here, but just in case. Got a little lucky with the drive there.
Still 5 holes to play. Now 1.06.
Sorry, but this is just silly.

you've been saying that since 1.3!
yeah but this is ice man stenson we're talking about, i've given up, taking a massive loss
I'm back. All those who can win are green. Possibly a little unlucky with Brian Davis. Took plenty out of him, but he was still a multi k winner. Second round destroyed him. Good luck with yours.
Drinking a nice cool bottle of Victory Ale.........very apt drink to have.
It was Pedigree to start and red wine with the meal for me.
That extends the winning streak to 536 weeks ski. You are a machine.

Pedigree one of my usual but opted for Victory Ale, Venus and Mud City Stout.

Don't you, being a regular, start making things up like the casual forumites.
just a jibe mate, just a jibe. enjoy the week off next week, unless you play the euro, not for me.
I will do the Euro........and some correct score football matches on Sunday.
Aussie football finals start next week, if you would like some easy money, back a Geelong/Collingwood double. You are welcome.
All that practise and effort from Poulto and he can't get out of the bunker
Am surprised that PGA got nothing on next week.........they could do a matchplay/stableford for those who do not qualify any more for the Fedex, as a consolation tournament like the Reno-Teno-thingo....
I know there is no excitement because of Stenson, but has everyone fallen asleep.........
Getting wrapped round the brandy and contemplating laying Henrik.

Don't bother...............it in the bag.........
Oh Stenny price gone up...............excitement at last.................wake up everyone........
LOL. Amazing hole out from the bunker.
Oh well, was worth a lay (imo).
Oh well, was worth a lay (imo).
Wow........wow...............wow WD Stenny and i missed grabbing some 1.10ish natting to Quincy
I'd have earned out of it though, Ski. You can live at laying 1.07 and backing back at 1.13. The pitch in wasn't in the script though. Well done, winners.
Quincy...............you did make a profit?
Quincy • August 30, 2013 12:35 PM BST
Covered on Tiger, against my better judgement. Backed my usual 'over the cliff' jobs, Stallings, Bae, Davis De Jonge, DeLaet and Westwood for bits and pieces. Ski has talked me into Stenson
Even though i didn't actually talk into it.......

At long last Stenson wins this year............now another notable player, that i expect to win at least once in a year, Rory Boy..........when is here going to win............possibly any of the last two tournaments.
If only Stenson bogied the 17th.........there would be some excitement going into the last hole........and perhaps you lot would be more awake.....
