anyone heard of them.  they have made an error in the solheim cup singles.

Petterson is 2.30.  Should be about 1.60.

How much would i get on if i open an account?

and more importantly would they honour the bet when Petterson wins. Laugh

dont touch them with a barge pole. Dodgy as hell.

I deposited 50 with them and they matched it so I had all 100 on Mickelson in the scottish open (50 real and 50 which would be subject to re-wagering, fair enough)

Mickelson won and my balance was 800.....took me 2 days to sort that because they tried to pay me out as a deadheat...idiots

Finally they apologised at paid out 1550 as a free bet and 50 as real cash- claiming that because my free bet was also a winner, all of my winnings had to be given as a free bet.

5 days later, they finally sorted that too- this is only once it's goine to senior managment who are never in the office....shock

Finally came to withdrawing and you need all your international banking codes to make the withdrawal -fair enough I guess.....

6 days later, after making the withdrawal, they email me to confirm I need to send them documentation to prove who I am.....very annoyed I do that within an hour of the email.....

3 weeks and 4 days after mickelson wins the playoff, I finally had the money in my bank. They went to incredible lengths to prevent me from having what was rightfully mine and did their very best to prevent me withdrawing, adding it to my bonus and also paying out incorrectly which I am convinced was them trying it on...

absolute con artists- do not go near them

cheers, i had a similar problem with sporting bet,  won about 4 grand, refused to give me "my money" until i had provided detailed evidence of who i was.

Quite happy to accept my bets without all that evidence.  I have never placed another bet with them.

will leave betway alone.

I dont mind having to prove your id- although it is a bit rich that they only became so concerned aboout your identity when you want to withdraw.....but Betway went to every length possible to prevent me withdrawing.

Sad thing for them, is that if they had just paid me out correctly in the first place, I probably would have kept it in their because quite often they are best price on golf markets and I wouldnt have even rushed to withdraw.

Never again - lesson learnt.

Never won a bet with them so thankfully have had no such problems with withdrawals but after accepting several (losing) bets of £20 they limited my bets to 50p.  Not a proper bookie in my opinion despite their big advertising campaigns on TV.

read their t&c about 'arb' betting if they decide you are an arber they can under their t&c void your account and keep your funds

read their t&c about 'arb' betting if they decide you are an arber they can under their t&c void your account and keep your funds

So they are saying that if you only use them for best price they could keep your funds.

And I thought bookies couldn't sink any lower?

Dukeofpuke - to save me trawling through their t&c where does it say that??

16.6 Irregular Play

Before any withdrawals are processed, your play will be reviewed for any irregular playing patterns. In the interests of fair gaming; equal, zero or low margin bets or hedge betting, shall all be considered irregular gaming for bonus play-through requirement purposes. Other examples of irregular play include, but are not limited to, placing single bets equal to or in excess of, 30% or more of the value of the bonus credited to your account before the wagering requirements for that bonus have been met. Should Betway deem that you have indulged in irregular game play, we reserve the right to withhold any withdrawals and/or to confiscate all of your winnings.

I guess they are hinting at arbing where bonuses are considered but agree it is a slippery slope!!

Thanks for that - am in the process of writing an article about the books that appear and then disappear from odds comparison sites

Like previous posters this firm do their absolute best not to pay out, the old 48 hour reverse the withdrawal option to try make you reinvest. They decide to ask for documents and say give 48 hrs for the operations team to verify the documents. When they decide the docs are blurry ask for you to resend them and give another 48 hrs for the operations team to approve them. When asking to speak to a manager/supervisor no matter what time of the day none in, when you ask them to speed the process up they are not in contact with the operations team. Another good one by them send emails at 3am delaying tactics again. I eventually received my withdrawal and closed the account.

I had a leaflet through the post last week offering a £50 free bet once I had had a £50 bet. My cash bet won, my free bet lost.
I asked for the withdrawal on the same day. Two working days later it still says withdrawal "reversable". I told them I had no intention of changing my mind, I want my winnings a.s.a.p.
On day 6 Angry my withdrawal changed from "reversable" to "work in progress". I asked them what the hell that meant. "It means our cashiers are processing it". Crazy
I finally received my winnings on day 7.

Thankfully they never asked me for a copy of my passport and proof of address, or it would have taken even longer.

Some very worrying stories for you guys.  On a positive note what firms seem fair and let you bet as much as you want (within reason) and also have no problems withdrawing when you need to?

never had any problems with PP and 365. When I am not using the purple, 365 is invariably the best price for me. I do also use Boyles, baldie, Ladb's, WH, BV and coral but more often then not they restrict me....and I am  really not a big player- I am talking about 2-5k payouts on golfers 50/1+

Conclusion- 365 and PP are far and away the best firms to use in my opinion
Report Super Hans August 21, 2013 7:36 PM BST
Give it time dessy.

If you know what you are doing your days are numbered with 365 & PP.

As bad as the rest imo.
Report dessys August 21, 2013 7:54 PM BST
I am showing an amazing profit with 365 on the golf (dont worry, losses everywhere else!) and havent had any issue. Can only speak as I find but to me they have been fantastic- also find their football prices the best around by a mile
Report The Timeform August 21, 2013 9:12 PM BST
365's prices are rarely the best - take a look on BestBetting there are several firms offering much better prices.
