McDowell doesn't like playing to the cameras does he?
By:
Loves the sound of his own voice to much for me.
By:
Are the BBC going to wait until Westwood goes out before showing any golf?

All that chat and finds the bunker.
By:
Its his frigging pseudo yank irish accent that annoys me
By:
Lawrie - 2...ominous....
By:
He never chats in the bunkers as the cameras are not allowed in them.
By:
whats ominous about lawrie -2 ?
By:
Just loves the sound of his own voice and seems to be full of his own self importance. Never met him so he could be the nicest guy alive mind you
By:
Lawrie won 10 shots behind in 1999 and today started 10 shots behind......
By:
Sure he's started plenty of other tournies 10 behind and not won though?

Deplasterer, 4.20 Newton Abbot, Mission Complete 8 pts @ 11.5, try to lay 9 pts @ 8.6, for a profit of 53 if it wins or 4 if doesn't. Jonjo has had two winners with horses of a similar profile recently, pulled up, pulled up, fitted with visor won.
Stays well and handles a sharp track. The name could turn out to be apt if the golf goes to plan. ![]() |

Fav for medal? I'll take Fitzpatrick at evs if you like given he's 6 clear with 5 to play
By:
There's a score out there today. Fisher -3 front nine, Van Pelt -3 back nine. Who is going to step up?

I know feck all about betting on golf and cant remember ever having a bet on it
but I play it regularly lee westwood at 2-1 is an absolute lay right now, I just did ! why ? because andy murray was the GB cup final this year |
By:
Took 11.5 Quincy, all the best.

10 minutes news and we see Dave again...............oh go away.
By:
today I cant see Westwoods putter save him, question is if his long game can do it!
By:
Looks a pretty accessible pin at 2
By:
4 of the toughest 6 holes come inside the last 5 on the course. So I'd say no lead is too big coming down the stretch
By:
Westy has been utilizing IBF's advice of a light grip on the flatstick really well so far, I guess that he'll be able to test it out to the full on the back nine today
![]() ![]() |
By:
As I said yesterday Rob any sportsman will tell you that under the greatest of pressure you revert back to type. The key is can Westy continue the new putting technique when the gun is put to his head?
By:
was the 3rd or 4th carnage hole yesterday?
By:
4th mate still playing the hardest hole. Think after that 8, 14, 15,16 and 18 are the others in the 6 hardest
By:
I'm not really into golf betting but surely Scott & Mahan are too big @ 8.8 or thereabouts - can there be much downside for back to lay on them both - any help appreciated
By:
Woods, Stenson and Mahan carrying my money today
By:
10 is actually the hardest so far today. front nine currently +0.35, back nine +1.45

With his putting westwood will be ok until he misses one. Then the tension will creep in. He may be lucky and have a day where he doesn't have many testers or could find he has one after another.
If he keeps things steady tee to green he has a great chance it isn't an easy course to make up ground. 73 could be enough to win it. |
By:
Thats probably the key Mighty. He has looked ok on the 10-15ft putts but if he starts leaving himself too many in the 5-8ft range I think his old habits will creep in
By:
I think the BBC sports team may be hanging from the rafters tonight if Westwood were to feck this up
