Can't be backing the bugger at that price.

Luke Donald had a shocker at Wentworth but he hasn't suddenly become a cr@p golfer overnight. £25 @ 55. Good record round here. When was the last time he started at that price ?

Russell Henley. £5 @ 345

Obviously, I will be backing my pals Tringale and Jones at some point before the off.

Few others I fancy. Waiting for the layers to kick in.

Probably another walk in the park for the great man. Probably better money to be made trading others with him at 3.3. have taken Jason Day at 70s, a Muirfield Village member so will hopefully figure well like John Rollins at Colonial last week. Webb Simpson at 65s, playing good golf of late and T7 here two seasons so can play the course. Certainly not going to abandon Leishman at 170s, a slight dip last week but Colonial can do that and was in contention until half way through Saturday so his pre off backers still had good trading from him, 170s very generous.

Tiger is very short but also very good, if you dont really wanna back him i suppose someone has to finish second and there are some big prices about for a place.I will be on tiger myself though

Nothing wrong with the price meng in terms of his probability of winning.

ladbrokes just pushed woods out to 3.5 could this be the start of a drift?
By:

When: 28 May 13 13:19
yes, got a piece of the 5/2 with Laddies, why bother backing here at 3.4/3.45 when 3.5 available with Laddies and no commission, more bookies will probably follow.

The strategy from the old days of Tiger of laying him pre-event backing him after round 1 doesn't seem to work anymore as he seems to play well enough in round 1 for his price to contract and the usual burn the course up on day 2 and 3 doesn't seem to happen either. Just very consistent and solid - irritatingly so!

Putting Tiger to one side who is off course the most likely winner I think Mark Wilson is the biggest value bet on offer with bookies. 175-1 e/w top 6 for a player who has 2 top tens in last 3 starts & 2 top tens in past 4yrs in this event, is a proven multiple tour winner & who would have the 'bottle' to win in this company if in the mix. He may end up having a bad week but frankly the price is ludicrous.

In addition I'm on Ryan Moore e/w who is somewhat unpredictable at the moment but loves this course. KJ who also loves this event & I think is due a big week & will hopefully take some inspiration from Bae's win. Finally Watney who prior to Sawgrass was starting to look very good again & although has never really been in the mix at this event has proven form in past events with similar style 'lightning' fast greens such as the AT&T when at Aronomink.

Good luck all.

Best bet for me this week Matt Every. He has played well the last few events without holing any putts ,that changed last week when the putter started to get hot consequently the high placed finish. His putter is going to be white hot this week and is a confident selection as long as he keeps on the short grass and not the other stuff.

Stakes back on Day at 60, Piercy at 220, Simpson at 55, Walker at 140 so going well thus far everything moving in the right direction. Just added Points at 230, value every week is DA given the form he has been in the last 2 months.

It was on the agenda for the last day but they had a ladies event so Cairns GC got a run. Worked out ok, quality course and much cheaper. Better golf at home though than up there but always happy to tick some more courses off. Really wanna play Hamilton Island, have you seen it? http://www.hamiltonislandgolfclub.com.au

Check that out, planning HI as the next trip. Love

Daintree and the reef are both magic and white water rafting was great fun, cheeky guide dumped in the water...

Stakes back on Kokrak at 300s as well Laugh

Any of those joints up there are fine, can't be compared to down south's Sand Belt but still all good.

Think we might send a bill to Tourism Australia Rhine, prikcs are getting free publicity here.

That we should mate, Mornington Peninsula every bit as good as the sandbelt if not better imo, play there all the time and the courses are awesome. If there is a better value for money stretch of public courses anywhere on Earth I'd like to see it.

Was plannning a good cut on Kuch at 9s in the Top American w/o Woods market, in 365. Only getting round to doing the bet now, and he been cut to 7sAngry. Will leave it now. Still fancy it to cop, but hardly any mileage left in the price. No other firm pricing it up. Had a wedge on Tiger at 5-2, so would rather do any other bets without. Stan James initially went 18s Kuch w/o, but i was too slow i backing that too!! Interested in Hunter Mahan and Geoff Ogilvy at bigger prices.

I am doing my usual backing of many of the outsiders, but a few that seem unbelievable value to me are:
Ben Kohles at 1000
Stallings at 200
S M Bae at 170
DA Points at 230
And I got Ryo at combined odds at 413, which is good as his odds have been getting shorter recently.

In the end I have backed all these guys:
D.A. Points
Justin Leonard
Charlie Wi
Tom Gillis
Tommy Gainey
Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano
Scott Brown
Derek Ernst
Sang-Moon Bae
Richard H. Lee
Fred Couples
Roberto Castro
Guan Tianlang
Trevor Immelman
Vijay Singh
Johnson Wagner
Casey Wittenberg
Justin Bolli
Ryo Ishikawa
Scott Stallings
Nicolas Colsaerts
James Driscoll
Ben Kohles
Erik Compton
Brian Stuard
Pat Perez
James Hahn

Smaller bet on Matt EVERY @ 230 and a tenner on Jason KOKRAK @ 350
