way to short he is
By:
dustin too good here,be back in an hour and expect him to be 1.04 or 1.05
By:
Dustin got a great break there. He might be enough holes ahead of the action to not feel the pressure so much and have the usual disaster hole
By:
7/4 was way too short i knew it
By:
There you go. As predicted Dustin chokes.

By:
Was it always inside the hazard so that he'll have to play his third from the tee or can he drop somewhere up around the green ?
By:
Drop
By:
amazing drop here for johnson
By:
That was a joke drop, might as well keep smashing it and don't worry about the water.
By:
That's very doubtful, didn't look to me as it was out of the hazard at any point. He may have had one of the officals to look at it though.

CC is a wind up merchant.
he crossed the hazard line at hit dry land and then went back into the water. he wont win anyway, plenty more chances for dustbin to c Ock it up. |

By:
dusty and charlie both hit it in the water and agree favourable drops. Who would have thought
By:
aberdonia, can you say that for sure just from what we've seen ? Did'nt look like it did if you ask me.
By:
the players dont agree anything.
if anything was done incorrectly they will be penalised. looked nothing wrong with Dustins drop. He hit land before the water. |
By:
i agree with you eddie. Never was a drop up there
By:
ignore aberdonia,wind up merchant

By:
i thought that he thudded into the bank and then went into the water.
by the bank and i dont mean grass it looked to me he hit land before he hit the water. someone should email SKY and ask them to look at it again. |
By:
Even if he didn't hit the water, he's entitled to take a drop anyway but in this case it would have been daft, therefore assume he did go into the water.
By:
If the players agree that is where it crossed they can then drop.
Becomes a joke if both hit it in the hazard |
By:
Bill Haas -10 from the 8th home for the week.Looks big price now.
By:
he can only drop greenside if he crossed above the hazard line and rolled back in or he can take a drop where the ball crossed the hazard line - in this case a fade would have been the shot. DJ drew his shot so unless he landed above the hazard line and rolled back he should have been dropping where he last crossed the hazard presumably at the start.
By:
agree with that Mighty White, if he had not hit land at any point he would probably have had to tee off again as his ball seemed to be over the water the whole way.
By:
he can only drop greenside
Anyone can drop any time they want under 3 conditions irrelevant of what happened but they would incur 1 stroke penalty. |
By:
You only have to play off the tee again if the ball was lost or out of bound.
By:
he would have had to drop wouldnt have been able to re tee it.
Ski you cant drop where you want when you go in hazard |

Ski Whiz
just checked the rules, you are correct. |

26-1. Relief for Ball in Water Hazard
It is a question of fact whether a ball that has not been found after having been struck toward a water hazard is in the hazard. In the absence of knowledge or virtual certainty that a ball struck toward a water hazard, but not found, is in the hazard, the player must proceed under Rule 27-1. If a ball is found in a water hazard or if it is known or virtually certain that a ball that has not been found is in the water hazard (whether the ball lies in water or not), the player may under penalty of one stroke: a. Proceed under the stroke and distance provision of Rule 27-1 by playing a ball as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original ball was last played (see Rule 20-5); or b. Drop a ball behind the water hazard, keeping the point at which the original ball last crossed the margin of the water hazard directly between the hole and the spot on which the ball is dropped, with no limit to how far behind the water hazard the ball may be dropped; or c. As additional options available only if the ball last crossed the margin of a lateral water hazard, drop a ball outside the water hazard within two club-lengths of and not nearer the hole than (i) the point where the original ball last crossed the margin of the water hazard or (ii) a point on the opposite margin of the water hazard equidistant from the hole. When proceeding under this Rule, the player may lift and clean his ball or substitute a ball. (Prohibited actions when ball is in a hazard – see Rule 13-4) (Ball moving in water in a water hazard – see Rule 14-6) |

I know....i said anyone can take a drop any time so whether it was in the water or not is irrelevant. |
