Have to say i was a tad disappointed by Rory last night. He KNEW that his action of addressing the ball caused the ball to move and im highly sceptical that it took 10secs before the ball moved. However, the person to blame is the official who let him get away with it.He "asked" Rory whether his actions caused the ball to move, which was obvious it did, then bottled it when Rory mumbled something about pre-shot routine.
He's young though so lets hope he reflects and learns from it.

Think you are right about jealously Lufc86, if Rory wanted to deceive he would not have called the referee, no one else saw it including the t.v. cameras.

The fact that there appeared to be no TV footage of the incident means that Rory gets a bye ball . Would appear nobody but Rory noticed ( if there was an incident ) , the fact that he called an official to get a ruling is OK . Those questioning Rorys recall of the incident were obvious spectators of the incident , must have had quick flights home to be posting here , otherwise they have nothing concrete to add to the debate . Correct ?
If you didnt see the alleged incident as it happened any comment is pure speculation .
We all saw Tigers ball disappearing down the chute , Nicks trampoline ball , Padraigs wind blow , Montys overnighter , but apparently this time no footage . Sorry Rory knockers , have to wait for another day . Case closed . The Scottish legal system has a name for this , for the life of me I cant recall it at the moment .

Fact...Rory called the ref's attention to the movement of the ball. The decision stands as correct because the ref is an appointee of the P.G.A. What interests me most is where Rory will lie as regards playing for Ireland or Great Britain in the next Olympics or indeed any intervening international competition.
