Alun - I'd even go so far as to suggest Ivor should be kept off the New Year's honours list.  Or if he is already ennobled, then he should be defrocked.  OBE at best.  Enough of these honours for the boys.

For your information, the Great Man tragically is yet to be ennobled by Her Majesty, for reasons I will discuss in my OFFICIAN 'Sir Ivor in-running' thread which in keeping with tradition I will start on Saturday afternoon.

He has, lest we forget, received the Legion D'Honneur from Mrs Sarkozy for his continually correct enunciation of those fine French names Gregory Havret, Thomas Levet, Boo Weekly, and Miguel Angel De La Jiminez De La Salle A Manger.
