£1000 going to charity, via KR for proof.

KR - send me address details with PM and I will send the bankers draft to you made out for your nom charity... you can then screen print on here.

As I'm sure most people will understand, I do not want to send my address details to random people on an internet forum.  If it's the 2% you are worried about then I will happily add an extra £20 to my donation.  Job done.

http://www.justgiving.com/Colin-McNally

I'd encourage you to get it up there ASAP as it will inspire a few others to donate, and the longer you leave it the interest in the thread will die down and Cancer Research will get less money.  Cheers.

What struck me immediately was also noted by Whippet I think..... Couldn't be bothered to get laptop from the car to lay off at 1.02, but did so immediately to post on the forum!! Jeez KR, you have some strange priorities.

Let me just clarify the laptop situation.  I had been to a wedding the night before and didn't get back from the hotel until about 1pm.  Had a few beers in the fridge and took the decision at that stage to have a few beers during the final round instead of betting on it.  One very quick way to become a losing gambler is to lay off all your winning positions willy nilly.  If you are going to touch the market then you need to be reasonably sober and concentrating.  So at the time I thought it was a sensible decision to leave the laptop in the car and tbh, I can't even say I definitely would have laid off in hindsight.  Maybe just the stake.  Doubt I would have been able to clear off a million pounds' worth without destroying the price.

The reason I had the laptop at the end is once Scott bogeyed 17 a playoff looked likely so I would have been looking to lay some off prior to the playoff as it's a great neutral moment where you don't really need much brain power to work out the correct price.  Even then I don't now how much I could have shifted without driving Scott's price up.

KR, do you have an iPad/iPhone? The former being great for instant access to betfair when needed.

minty stop with the begging bowl you clown, I have made my position clear on your commission hunting/glory hunting set up.

My money will be given, and I know just how to prove it now KR has made his position clear.

Stop chasing me around begging, it's low class and totally pikesville.

Barza, if 1,000 quid is going to hurt you (you did say normally a giver of twenty), you are crazy to pay-up......regardless of the cause.

Should you have offered to pay? Nope.
Are you obliged to pay? I suppose you are
Will you lose some credibility here if you don't? I guess so

But enough is enough, pay 10,20,50,100, 200 or whatever is a reasonable donation for you.

These were very large sums and the forum has had it's fair share of fantasists and Walter Mittys, so I wasn't surprised you doubted Knight Rider's claims (deep down I'm sure KR isn't surprised there were some doubtersCoolCool).

As I said donate something, whatever is reasonable for you, and learn your lesson - don't make calls you aren't comfortable paying.

Haven't all long-termers not had to learn that lesson - keep within comfort zone? (KR excludedGrinGrin).

So give him a break.

Barza, you know it makes sense, keep your grand and take whatever slack comes you way; don't be hounded by people who are anonymous and you don't even know.

Wallflower.....he did say he would make a fullsome apology to Knight Rider (which costs nothing) if KR provided proof and even that has not been delivered.
By:

When: 24 Jul 12 18:46
Wallflower is spot on if a grand will slaughter you you cannot pay it

I will think you are an alright guy if you would donate a fifty.  Best

of luck in the future.

sign of goodwill why not just start with a deserved apology to KR.

You're coming across as a petulant little boy now. As Wallflower and others have said fair enough if you can't donate the amount you said but donate what you can or at least keep you're word of giving a proper apology to the OP (others who did not believe the OP have been man enough to apoligise). I don't see why you're stalling as it's not doing you any favours.

My 200 will there around 10am in the morning. I said initially I would make it a grand if Barza donated a grand. I agree with the posts above and will make it a grand if Barza donates anything he considers reasonable.

Have to say I've found all of this nonsense quite entertaining. Just a real shame for KR that the bet didn't come in.
