Yes i will be backing him....he has won 3 of his last 7 starts,only 1 other top 10 WR in the field...and confidence is only getting stronger..For me that is value...anything like a decent start and the bookies will be running for cover.The not being able to win back to back weeks doesn't apply to Tiger Woods..

Brian Harman @ 260s - he shot the joint lowest final rnd last week T11 and was T24 at the Travellers,he also has four other top 25s in his rookie season and in my view is very much one to keep onside. David Hearn @ 300s - the Canadian has made seven cuts in a row which includes four top 25s,he ranks 48th in greens in regulation and placed T18 at last year's Greenbrier and so for me holds some value. I've championed Cameron Tringale on here for a good 12 months but can't be backing @ 55s especially 'til he sorts out his errant shots which keep costing him doubles. anyways good luck forumites.  |

Tiger Woods headlines the Greenbrier Classic at a fairly short price which made me think there would be some decent each way value but with only two years course experience played essentially on a very different course it has been a bit of a struggle!
Main bet is Jimmy Walker as he has been tied 4th in each renewal and seems to love the area as he also won on the Nationwide tour in West Virginia. He does seem to be a horses for courses player who has also been 4th at Riviera for the last two seasons. There is an interesting little fact about how well he has played the week before the Greenbrier for the last 2 years - in 2010 he was 4th after round one with an opening 65 and last year was 2nd after Thursday in Canada on different courses. Last week he was 2nd after the first and second rounds before fading over the weekend - maybe the change in course conditions didn't suit but he seems in good nick 0.5 ew 66/1. Next up in price order is Billy Hurley III who finally found some of his good Nationwide form from last season when 4th in the AT&T on Sunday. He put it down to finally hitting the ball well and playing close to home and revelling in the hot conditions. Whilst he has no course form he comes from neighbouring Virginia and will be well suited to the heat and I wouldn't be surprised to see him go on a good run - 0.2 ew 250/1 (200/1 OK) Last man in is a bit of a stab in the dark - Jason Gore has also won in West Virginia - the same event as Walker and Points who was 4th here two years ago. He is 4th on the Driving Distance stats on the Web.com tour and 1st in birdies per round which should hold him in good stead this week - 0.1 ew 300/1 |

Tiger is getting closer and closer to his ominous best in recent months. Can certainly win again this week but is still capable of throwing in the odd bad round so can't be backing at thse prices.

wow this forum is dead these days! well after a very dissapointing start from Mr Kaymer, I have found (what I think to be anyway) some value in the meerkat. Since Tiger has had a poor start I am willing to back an outsider with a view to trade.
Looking at previous contenters of this event and last years leaderboard suggests this course might suit Johnny Vegas, since he just came 4th last week I'm willing to back him at 120/1 with a view to trade on here. |

I did Johnson Wagner to win his 3-ball against Dustin Johnson and Bill Haas
Wagner and Haas both -2 after 17, Johnson +1. Par 3 18th, Haas has to up and down from 50ft for a par. Wagner hits his tee shot to 15 inches and has a tap-in birdie You can guess the rest. |
