Like a few people i'm enjoying watching these boys struggle a bit.The rain that they're probably hating right now might be their salvation later in the week as it will make the fairways play a bit wider.Hopefully the rain will disappear but i'd sooner watch this than watch some of the other fair the tour serves up which are nothing more than glorified putting competitions.
As per usual the European Tour scoring system is having a shocker which is nothing unusual.Don't worry if it says on The European Tour website that your player has just taken a double bogey...wait long enough and they might just change it to an eagle.Anybody betting in play in some of these events is a braver man than me.

Thanks, eric. Not often you can back @ 500+ and lay at less than 20. Major problems yesterday, internet off all morning (area fault), and a dead mouse. My staking plan left a lot to be desired though. Not enough on the European and too much on the US. Did get Graeme Strorm @ 80+ though. Have to see what this afternoon brings. Good luck.
Agree Heinz - Pablo L my only selection - JC in RP against him in punt review but can see him contending on Sunday, just had more on @ 38.

Been a while since I backed 5 players pre tournament and everyone of them failed to make the cut.Impressive even by my standards 
Weather forecast looks good for the early starters to make a charge....wind speeds 7 kmph with light rain possible but late morning wind picking up to 20 kmph with heavy rain most of the afternoon 
if a couple of the backmarkers can get round in -4 an overall score of -1/-2 may well look very good come 6pm.

30+ players out and just one in red figures @ -1 thru 4...plenty of big overs Ollie did get to -3 thru 5 to even par for tournie then (as usual these days) went DB, bogey....looks like its going to be a long round for the leaders if the weather worsens as forecast.

Thought DA Points was coming back to form but after his appalling effort in New Orleans (didn't back him after checking his course form) decided to swerve him in this good quality event

Backed Hutsby last night...-1 is OK and apart from his DB at 18 yesterday he's been scoring very well...the round from Bourdy was a bolt from the blue....he was a very good scorer a couple of years back but has just been going thru the motions lately.....has given no indication of returning to form so would imagine it unlikely he can repeat the feat...but the weather may help with no one being able to score.
My only hope is spain.

The European Tour scoring system is never usually the best but this week has been something else.Zanotti was one of my pre event picks and yesterday they had him marked down for a triple bogey 7 on his 9th hole of the day(the 18th)which was later changed to a bogey 5 after the round.You would think a multi million pound organisation like The European Tour could come with something a bit better than this

layed off my dyson backed 60s now at 2.04 seems bit short with whole round to play on this course
Dyson never makes it easy on himself does he? How did he double the last?
Found the bunker at the back of the green, duffed the bunker shot, hit the next several feet past the hole and missed the return putt.
Should be good viewing tomorrow with three at the front who are not afraid to win.

Not really a good tournament for me so far with Paul Lawrie not even making the cut. Pre tournament picks still in with a shout are Marcel Siem, Peter Lawrie and Carlos Del Moral (also top 10 market on Moral). I managed to pinch some 5/1 about Dyson during yesterdays round early on - only enough to cover my stakes and make a small profit. I thought before the 18th with a 3 stroke lead that it was looking like another winning week - but then he plays the last like a tool. Im tempted to lay off now and take a small loss on the tournament - but he really should win this even with just the 1 stroke lead, especially as the weather looks set fair for today with only a gentle breeze.
I also managed to get £20 on Olesen at 48s early on yesteday - which may yet prove a good bet. Best scenario is a Siem win and Del Moral top 10, but will settle on a Dyson victory. I think the 3 spaniards in the top 10 will be hungry to win this though - so it won't be easy pickings.

Plenty of ''morning glory'' boys on show today that played like girls in the rough weather...you gotta laugh...Manassero was available @ 70 then he makes birdie on the easy first hole and is now wanted @ 44...he may go on a run...he may win it...but picking up 1 shot cannot justify that support

Well I should like to say I laid off when Dyson went 2 ahead early doors - but I did'nt. Well done to Molinari backers - price was just a little too short for me, just like Dufner last week.
That was easily the worst final round I ever saw Dyson play. His putting was attrocious and his wedge shots were probably worse than I would play. Mind you that's golf - some days you just can't do squat.
