Phil's got that look about him.  Even so his price looks at bit short considering how many are within contention.

Report mayburydrr April 8, 2012 12:10 AM BST
hansons interview said it all, hes really not that confident and knows theres not that much pressure on him, but he will still buckle under it

and chelsea makes a good point. could just gamble on phil, and its not that risky tbh
Report sweetchildofmine April 8, 2012 12:11 AM BST
yeah might wait to see if i can lay him at around 2.4ish
Report sweetchildofmine April 8, 2012 12:12 AM BST

Report mayburydrr April 8, 2012 12:12 AM BST
wait for some big numbers from hanson over the first few holes, then if youre still worriiied about louis or lee (which is unlikely!) then lay a bit of phil off...
Report chelsea_blue April 8, 2012 12:13 AM BST
i think phils price is still decent tbh.

not an awful lot behind him really, mahan, oosty maybe

dont give bubba or hanson a sniff
Report diktat April 8, 2012 12:14 AM BST
cant see Bubba winning.  if you need insurance I say Oosty (similar profile to Schartzwel last year) and a little on Hanson just in case he continues like he does today
Report Quincy April 8, 2012 12:14 AM BST
sweetchildofmine, depending on your figures, I would think you lay some of Phil and maybe a bit of Hunter.  I have the same problem, I'm on Hanson and Oosthuizen, I certainly can't back Phil @ 7/4, I can green up, but I'm standing still until 5 o'clock tomorrow. Good luck.
Report therhino April 8, 2012 12:16 AM BST
Mahan has a history of shooting low on Sunday to win and his head in a great place at the moment, 65 gives him a real chance and he is most certainly capable.
Report ror April 8, 2012 12:16 AM BST
same, I'm on Hanson right now, but I don't want to back phil at this price. I'll probably lay off hanson and just sit neutral for a while
Report mayburydrr April 8, 2012 12:17 AM BST
yeah good poinnt, mahan good from behind
Report mayburydrr April 8, 2012 12:18 AM BST
i think i need to sleep on bubba. i can get a lot of my red down if i lay him now but think a few early birdies (possible with his length) will see him shorten a lot

Bubba is a mug and Kuchar rarely wins so forget them.  Its Phil 75%, Hanson 10%, Oosty 10% and Mahan 5%

not so sure about hanson
Report kiwipirate April 8, 2012 3:21 AM BST
A swing of 4 or 5 shots on Sundays is very common.
Nine players are in with a shout.
Do not think that Hanson would crumble under pressure.
He looks very composed and perfectly capable of another
bold showing. I hope he wins.

I like Oosty's style. He does not even know how to spell pressure.
He is just a kid and he is having a lot of fun out there.
Excellent driving and putting. I fancy his chances.

Mahan is my black horse. He has got the tools to win it.
It is big ask, maybe just a little bit too much.

Phil, sure you cannot disregard him. I am just very worried about
his driving which might force him to take risks to stay in it.

Good luck to all of them.
Report Angel Gabrial April 8, 2012 5:08 AM BST
I would not touch Lefty until the back 9. Hanson hits it straight and could be 2 up on Phil on the turn. Then the 4.2 on Phil would be great value.

Players scores for front and back 9 so far this week.

Mickleson level front9   -10 Back9
Hanson    -4    Front9   -5  Back9
Oostuizen level Front9   -7  Back9
Watson    -1    Front9   -5  Back9
Kuchar    -2    Front9   -3  Back9
Westwood  -3    Front9   -1  Back9
Padraig   +1    Front9   -5  Back9
Mahan     -1    Front9   -3  Back9
Stenson   -8    Front9   +5  Back9
Lawrie    +2    Front9   -5  Back9
Stenson might be worth a little trade, just gotta make sure I've layed off before the turn. The way Mickelson has played the back 9 looks ominous.
Report stewardsenquirey April 8, 2012 8:32 AM BST
Doh.Mickelson is -8 back9,not -10.
Report Swardean April 8, 2012 8:50 AM BST
There has only been 5 final rounds of 66 at Augusta in the last 10 years, so I think those on -4 will need more than a little help from those ahead and I just can't see them all collapsing.

Hanson has an impresessive 69.50 final round scoring average on PGATOUR this year, however this is from just 2 events and he will not have experienced the pressure he will feel later today
