Morning Heinz truce day
Not much here either started with a 100 on Rose 50 on Donald 50 on westy @32 17/5 and 22 traded 100 back on westy at 8 then 20 on molinari @65 thinking bout slapping the other 80 on lefty mainly cause I like his spirit should have done him when he was 60 I was sitting thinking he always comes with a rattle I got out of trouble last year when he came from nowhere and almost won the open think I had 30 or something then traded for small profit on tournament which after day 3 seemed impossible Anyway peace and gl Ps maybe you were right at start about supermac just thought weather may have been worse was going to put 200 at 7/4 gutted |

Dufner flying the flag, Crane, Howell and Furyk in contention. Haas and Simpson need 65s, have added a cheeky few on Byrd and Poulter at 180s. Rory a big concern for me.

No idea what to do or who is going to win. Making all my greens on Westwood and MacIroy to small reds. The going to church to pray for some inspiration.

am i the only one who fancies adam scott for a good trade? shot back to back 67s last year in last 2 rounds, 6 off the lead now
|

I just hope that a few of mine are still flirting with the lead at the end of the day. I have invested heavily by my standards on the Masters - always do. Scott let me down badly last year, but prior to that I had Phil in 2010 and Cabrera in 2009.
I have chances with a host of players at the moment, but fear 2 that I have not backed - namely Phil and Bubba. Rory is a small green, Westie, Sergio and Ooustie fair greens and apart from a few exceptions the rest big greens (par or better). So im hoping for an upset - either that Dufner or Couples surprise everyone, or that the par or -1 brigade come out of the pack and put themselves in with a shout come tomorrow. At 10/1 I can't back him - but Phil looked and sounded confident after his round yesterday. |

Still so far so good.
Of my 9 players with bookies only 1 has missed cut in form of KJ, whilst BVP, E molinari, Sneds & Ogilvy need to shoot the lights out over the weekend to get involved. that leaves me with Badds, Stenson, Watney & Bubba. I've had a strong hunch for Badds all along. just think he's due a big major and I really like the way he rallied yeterday. Stenson was also very resiliant yesterday and if he's still involved tomorrow he has the grit and ability to 'hole out' to win. On here I had a team of 7, which had 4 of above 9 including Stenson & Badds along with a few quid on Frddie Jac, Crane & Casey at big prices. Laid of Stenson first day to make a green book and still have big greens on Badds, Crane & The Jac. I've also had a few quid of that green on CH3 today. All on all plenty to play for and should be a great weekends viewing! Good luck & enjoy everyone! |

It has been pretty grim so far this week...
Starting team Luke Donald +4 Playing awful, doesn't seem his usual self. No chance. Geoff Ogilvy +2 Showing glimpses in between daft mistakes. Ain't winning it. Bill Haas +2 See above. Webb Simpson +2 First time round proving a learning experience. Ain't winning it. Nick Watney -2 Missed some good chances in Rnd2, needs to play steady golf. Edoardo Molinari +5 No chance. Robert Karlsson +4 No chance. So from the above list of 7, realistically only one has a glimmer of a chance. The +2's can maybe get back into things with low rounds but it's becoming increasingly tougher and it looks a real long shot. Inplay Justin Rose EVS Can't buy a putt atm, needs to heat up quick otherwise will be left with too much to do. Jim Furyk -1 Grinding like a good un, has the game to compete in super tough conditions. Aaron Baddeley -2 Playing quite well, dark horse. Miguel Jimenez -3 Grinding like Furyk. Would love to see him win, playing as good as anyone. All in all a mixed bag, hopefully those who are just off the pace at EVS and +2 can go low and get in the mix, giving me a good squad of players to go for it from just off the leaders come Sunday. Worried LJW, and Rory could spread the field like crazy tonight though. |

Rory, Phil, Rose, Scott, Bubba, Mahan, Van Pelt, Snedeker bigger bets (Rose I'm on at average 68; Hunter at 50; BVP 130 as early bets)
Jimenez, Peter Hanson, Ben Crane, David Toms, Ishikawa, Ryan Palmer, Johnson Wagner my outside selections for smaller stakes Just over £2k staked on here and meaning to trade Cut and paste from my post on the original thread All going along rather swimmingly because of the performance of my outsiders who I took most of the profit out of and reinvested quite well as the leaderboard stands today. Hard to see how I'm going to lose from here but then I thought that last year and I didn't have Adam Scott on the last day who went odds on in running ![]() |

Backed Mahan and Rose for top 10 finishes today. I'm expecting one at least to be featuring on 'Moving Day'
|
|
By:
rory has been my main bet from the start here, big phil is my main concern atm, may take some on him in play tonight before the back 9.

Stuck a tenner on Mahan at 90 and a tenner on Lawrie at 60.
That's me all punted out !! Jermaine...truce it is. I'm smoked out, drunk out and gambled out......yet hoping this first cool tinny will get me ticking over again. ![]() |

By:
On Westie, Bradley and Kaymer before the start so only Westie with a fighting chance, have backed Rory this morning thinking he could make a big move today!! Although clearly this could be either way.

I backed Freddie at huge odds and much as I'd love to see him win it, i think the time has come to lay some of it back. The way the leaderboard is make for difficult trading and I'm struggling to make decisions.
Theyve ob got the right favorite in Rory but the course throws up so many imponderables that I,m not jumping at 10/3. Am big green on Serg @ 80. He can win this if (and it's a big IF) he can keep his head after the enevitable disapointments. Also fancied Baddeley for this but for me there are tooo many goood players in front of him, despite being just 3 back and have just layed back at about half the taken odds. So wont mind if he wins. Mahan, Hanson , Woodland, poulter would be the closers I'd like to see for profit. Also Stenson I took on the PP offer. Bubbling up to be a cracker. |

By:
exactly owning, can not take phil at 10s, my plan is to get him higher before the back 9.
will make for an interesting moving day, hope rory can find his best form today as there will be a low score out there to be had with weather set fair and course drying out, less mud balls etc. |
|
By:
am hoping for a 66 from rory then i'll lay off my bet :)
|
|
By:
Another "big IF" for Sergio is his injured finger (although they always say Beware the injured golfer)!
|
|
By:
i will be seeing my rory bet through mostly, may lay some stake back if he goes really low. I set a golf betting rule for myself a while ago where mcilroy is concerned - after rory burned me a couple of times - one of which was laying him at Quail hollow where he won from the cut line, and that rule is never to lay mcilroy.
Really hope he gets it done this weekend, would love to see him put that green jacket on to put right last years meltdown |

I started with
in contention Rory Westwood Hanson on the periphery Scott and out of contention Kaymer Stricker Fowler Karlsson Simpson added Yang 150 Byrd 240 O'Hair 160 all at -1 |
|
By:
Henrik Stenson -2 65
Nick Watney -2 32 Aaron Baddeley -2 55 Peter Hanson -2 85 Phil Mickelson -2 10 Vijay Singh -2 120 Ben Crane -2 120 Charles Howell III -2 95 All same score but widely different odds......Singh and Crane looks value for trading....a birdie would see both under 100...Mickleson at 10?......poor value IMO....Crane is steady with birdies and only 4 bogeys and all on -2 are only 3 off the lead. |
|
By:
Ski, I know I said I couldn't make a mess of this, but I'm trying hard. Was watching VJ last night and trying to pluck up the courage to back him. Have backed him and Crane now, mainly because I was on in a couple of recent events. Hope you're right about trading. Good luck.
|
|
By:
Yeah i hope so.....will get the stake back at around 80 and let it ride.....hopefully either will go low.....no one seems to be on form this weekend and ripping the course apart....wouldn't surprise me if 10 golfers are 0 and 1 shot difference by the end of the day

He prob did not sleep after that performance yesterday. |

Par Tiger....moving on to the must birdie PAR 5 SECOND

How's the book looking Frames?
|
|
By:
I'm surprised about the amount of money sitting around to back and lay Tiger even though he is on the course. Looks likes pre-off liquidity..
|
|
By:
Not bad Ronsk. As it stands I don't want Rory or Tiger and of the leaders Bubba and Dufner are my best results.Only playing small though.
How about yourself ? |

By:
Scoring looks difficult today. Only 5 of 21 under par, best is -1.
