Thanks for all the advice - just incase you are intrested I endend up putting what was left on my role on Jim, but luckly Luke saved me, wow the highs and lows of betting who would of thought that after an awful Chelt that i have just managed to climb back out of a very large who!! I now need to go upstairs and pretend to the missis that all that shouting has resulted in my winning £20! Thanks everyone for all your advice, Good Luck RH |

of course they allow people are laying 1.01 so others take the price - it's called an "exchange" why on earth would BF not allow it??

I looked at what had been matched on Luke at short odds and apart from the roughly 10 k ( 5 k backed) at 1.01 there weren't much hoovered at all.

did see a fair wedge at 1.1....price "before" he hit the shot was 1.3ish if I recall...

Everybody who bets on US golf here(apart from their first time) know that the North Americans have faster pictures than what we have here in Europe, so if you don't want to be hoovered, you don't leave money up at crucial points.

they do but in golf when its the last man to win the tourno and the ball is in the hole they dont get burnt....naive me I would have thought that BF would have decent quick pics and with the bet time delay manage to stop the hoover at least with golf..

Replies: 26691 18 Mar 12 22:55 i guess betfair get their 40% of the money creamed off at the end, so they probably dont care but one day somebody will do a tv expose on it and then we will all lose out you are right they are going to feck it up altogether they are making fortunes on the tennis, millions matched nearly every tv match sky are 7 secs behind now where they used to be 3 for years untill PC came in, it has got worse since then some one is making millions money hitting screen 2 secs before the shot is shown every time and thats from a US tournament where no betfair supposed to be allowed betfair happy to take their PC cut and let it go it must be the same no lose accounts all the time |

never understood why fast pics are important anyway. i couldnt give a toss if my pics are 2 minutes behind which it often is. everybody has faster pics than someone else, i have slower pics than eddie for example, who has faster pics than rhino, who has faster pics than aussie, who has slower pics eric, etc....

of course you could, but there are two different plays at operation, the out and out traders where speed is everything and decimal points are massive, or just the gamblers where speed is not important its just about choosing the winner and they know they can not compete with the speedsters.

The way I performed last night, fast pictures or no pictures would have made no difference. Backed Els at 27 at 7.00, traded a bit. Went to sleep and missed the 1.62, won overall but played like a pr*t. Well done, proper winners. Really just wanted Els to win, not for money, but to qualify for the Masters.

most tourneys i would not watch a single shot, watching the leaderboard works better i think. dont need fast pictures to tell you when someone is overpriced
