Fair play to Rock though. I served him coffee once at a Midland PGA tournament at Rothley Park. Remember seeing the leaderboard they had up and thinking how funny his name was. Great story thugh, best of luck to him

T Woods 2 clear with a guy generally regarded as a non winner ?

2.3

We used to lump on at less with 72 holes and 155 others  still at even par.

He has hardly scraped it round either. His long game has been better than I can ever remember it. Not explosive, but rock steady.

I generally agree, but there is a lot tucked in 2 / 3 back. Plus you have to factor in that he's only won the Chevron recently, and needed back to back birdies to do it at the death.

Having said that, i do think he will win, and this isn't a great course to chase on.

Woods has to win, his game has been so impressive and will be back to world No1 by year end.

I am surprised 2.36 is on offer! I am small green on him, good green on Rock, big green on Gonnet and Donaldson, small red the field.

I agree with ericthecat that 2.36 seems a big price for Woods now. I have backed a dozen players and have a nice green on Tiger but Lawrie to win would be very nice. Also have Lawrie top 10 - so will settle for a Woods win and Lawrie top 10.
But as we saw today the lead could change a dozen times or more.
Temped to cover on Rory now - have to give that some thought.

First true glimmer and he is back to world number one? Let's see him a few more weeks first.

This is a game of consistency.

Believe me Crow, this isn't a one off "good week"

Tiger has been superb.

Looks in total control. Hardly made a mistake today.

Its great to see him back.

There's no believing about it. This happens constantly on here. Somebody has a showstopping performance and all the big claims come out only to be silenced within a few months.

I'm only saying don't jump the gun even if it is Tiger.

Crow Tiger is the greatest golfer ever.

He has had a horrendous run with injuries not to mention his personal problems over the last few years.

If he consistently gets back to half of what he was he will be better than the current crop.

Completely with MW here - you can't apply the same logic to Tiger that you would anyone else. Loving seeing him back. Can't wait till that putt drops for his next Major - Then he can shove it right back up Jonny Miller / Tom Watson and the rest's rear ends CoolCool

So if he starts giving some lacklustre performances in weeks/months to come, you'll formally apologise I suppose?

Even Tiger can't win every week.

He played better in Australia, then played well at the Chevron with a superb finish when it mattered.

This week he hasn't broken sweat thus far.

I think it is a fair assumption to say he is heading back to where belongs. Not that it was ever in doubtWink

Mighty White summed that up well.

Tiger has strolled round for 54 holes and hasn't even attempted to put his foot down.

Utterly disciplined clinical execution of golf shots, normally successfully.

Tomorrow may change that , but I would not be taking a position against him.

I do think the boy wonder on his game will be able to beat Tiger. Rory has not played that well this week and is still only 2 back. Rory played some great shots and some loose ones, it looks very early season form for him.

Tiger on the other hand looks more consistent than anybody out there, his ball is under more control than I have ever seen it! If he gets is putting and competitive head on, he will win many many events this year.

It will push the odds on the rest out.

Personally Eric,I am still clinging to Westwood and Kaymer.

Morning, eric.  Broke all the rules last night.  Having laid Woods @ 3.8, laid some off my green on Lawrie and Hanson and put it on Rock @ 8.8.  Not the best move to back someone who has been 200+ at a twentieth of the price, but have laid him at an average of about 1.8 and feeling very happy.  It will balance the disaster that is the Farmers.  Best of luck with your bets.
