Unfortunately I was right to be concerned about Oscars Well's fitness yesterday.  The lack of sharpness told on the run in, but I still think it was worth the punt at 2/1.  Run that same race again in a month, and our selection would win.  Oscar's Well will pay us back for yesterday later in the season, I've no doubt.

In my opinion big things lie ahead for Oscars Well this season.  He should have wont the Neptune Hurdle at the festival in March, but still managed two Irish Grade Ones.  The only concern today is the long lay off, as he will obviously be aimed at Cheltenham again, so may need the run today to sharpen up.  Whilst his main competitor today (The Real Article) is a good horse, and will win good races this season, on his day Oscars Well should beat him well.  TRA does have the fitness edge today though.  However, I think that edge is reflected in today's prices, and at odds of 2/1 we take Oscars Well to have enough to get competitive to the line.

Good profit on Sunday with Poetic Lord (advised 4/1) and Eton Rifles (advised 5/2) both winning easily.  Also, Taste The Wine (advised 10/1) ran well into 2nd to land some place money.  The disappointment on the day was the 4.5pt bet on Loosen My Load, who ended up getting ambushed on the day by a Welsh raider...lessons learned.
