Also it is in breach of the European court of human rights ie the right to privacy but as yet the bookies are getting away with it and will continue to do so until this scandalous breach of privacy is challenged in courts.

Surprised to work out which site was putting this on my computer.
 Maybe part of the new regime ? Try it. Delete , log in and up it pops again. Block. |

Delete then log in to Bookmakers one by one until you find the culprit
Then name and shame the cants all over social media. It is not Betfair or Purple |

I have checked my computer a few times and no sign of this on any of my computers. I use Betfair, Purple and Bet365 for the live streaming.
If Betfair is suspected, we need to ask them WTF on Twitter. |

I live in south Co Dublin.
A few months back I went to Paddy Power head office in Clonskeagh, south Co Dublin to get my account info which is allowed under the Data Protection legislation. It was e-mailed to me. I opened the files. Later I found iesnare on my PC loaded to my PC the day I opened the files from Paddy Power. There could not be a connection. That would be unthinkable. With Google chrome, you can use the inbuilt developer tools to see which websites use iesnare i.e.,:
1) navigate to website of concern 2) press CTRL+SHIFT+I (this will pop up the developer tools), 3) place focus into the "Elements" tab, click CTRL+F (find) 4) type iesnare, you will then see all the references to it. Hope that helps. (btw it does appear on the betfair website) |

I should add that it may only be a "certain page" on a website that accesses iesnare so it's not foolproof, you just have to make a guess where this would be called, probably main page, or the first page after logging in or "account details" etc.

To check if iesnare is on your computer...You can find it by opening up a command prompt (start -> all programs->accessories->command prompt) then typing..... dir mp*.com /s If it's there you will see the date it was installed on your computer! If it's there and you want to block it this is how... Click the Start button, click notepad or enter notepad in the bar at the bottom Right-click on the Notepad item which appears at the top of the list Choose "Run as administrator" In "untitled - notepad" go to file and click open, then under "files of type" click all files Enter "C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc" in file name and click open Right click on "hosts" file (make sure it only says hosts, not hosts.bak or hosts.txt), select properties and uncheck read-only box at bottom beside attributes, then click "Apply" then OK. easier way to do this is down load "privacy badger"
once downloaded, access the bookie and then click on the privacy badger icon - it will tell you what cookies have been loaded on to your site very simple to block once identified |

bigH - iesnare uses flash cookies .sol files, not normal cookies - does privacy badger block them?

FWIW, I've noticed whatever it was that was replicating my bets at one tick better than me on the Exchange has stopped since I blocked this.

like the first example - the '#' character at the start of a row means it's a comment (ie will be ignored)
