Just wondering if Leicester win the league would it be the longest odds of any winner of any event ever?
I see lots of places quoting Leicester as being 5000/1, surely there  places quoting 10000/1

I'd imagine the place odds on Bradford winning the 2013 League Cup were over 4 figures

"Who expected Bradford City to be in the Capital One Cup final? No one. We were 10,000-1 to win it at the start. It’s the old cliché but, on any given day, 11 men can beat 11 men and hopefully our fairytale ends on another magical high note.”

at 1/2 the odds 1-2 that's 5,000/1 to reach the final

Golf tournaments every season.

Horse racing has had a few pre-race 10000 winners matched on here over the years.

Clydebank 10,000/1 to reach the final wouldve be around  500/1 - 1000/1 to win  at a guess if any bookie would have allowed (unless anyone knows different)  , as whoever they  were due to play  would have been massive favourites .

I'm referring to the place odds of the ew wager coach.

Good shout on Bradford. I reckon they were were mainly 5000/1 but there's always a bookie or two that gives 10000/1.
For St. Louis I'm guessing they weren't 1000/1 beforehand rather were those oddd at a stage in the season when they looked very unlikely even to make the wildcard.

For golf tournaments, I can't recall any winners with odds of 1000/1 beforehand? A few in-play but odds of 1000/1 pre-tournament are usually for golden oldies like Sandy Lyle and Ian Woosnam.

No, he'd won Queens a couple of weeks earlier, and was only double digits, i think about 33-50s. Ivanesevic was available at 250/1 before he won as a wild card in 2001.
